Everything is simply better in the summer! The weather gets warmer, everyone enjoys the outdoors that much more, and the drama on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) heats up! Wonder what will unravel during the next few months? It’s hard not to speculate! As such, below are some DOOL plotline predictions for the summer of 2020.

14. Four Couples … Four Weddings

DOOL spoilers suggest that there will be four weddings celebrated in July. One will happen every week! Will each couple make it down the aisle to say their “I do’s” successfully? Probably not. Weddings never go off with ease in the land of Salem. All four weddings will have some drama, with Cin most likely becoming husband and wife, as well as Elani; however, things don’t look too good for Eric and Nicole, as well as Justin and Kayla.

13. The Funeral

DOOL spoilers are also hinting four weddings … and a funeral! In fact, teasers seem to imply that something will happen at a wedding where a funeral will follow. With Claire Brady set to be released from Bayview soon, could she try and stop Ciara and Ben’s wedding? Could she place herself in a position where someone is acting in self-defense?

12. The Steve Factor

No-brainer here. Steve was all set to tell Kayla just how he felt before Justin proposed to her. Johnson will struggle with this feeling and watching the love of his life plan her wedding with another man, and right before they are about to say their vows, Steve will swoop in to stop the wedding (in some sort of dramatic way, obviously!).

11. Eric and Nicole’s Nuptials

With Allie Horton set to return soon, DOOL spoilers suggest that “mini-Sami” will cause a little chaos between Nicole and Eric. If Allie has been influenced at all by her mother, then she’ll have quite the disdain for Nicole and may even do things to purposely make her look bad. She’ll certainly cause a wedge between Nicole and Eric that could explode come their wedding day.

10. Allie’s Expecting Woes

DOOL spoilers indicate that Allie will blow into town, and it turns out she’s expecting a baby. With that said, she doesn’t want anyone to know, and she’ll plead with both Nicole and Eric to keep her secret hidden (they won’t be able to do for very long). Why does Allie want to keep her baby all hush-hush? Perhaps, she’s not ready for the responsibility of parenthood?

9. Eric Helps With Options

Eric is a great guy, and a family man through and through. He’ll do all he can to support his niece, and keep her secret hidden. She may be looking for options, and Eric may suggest adoption. After all, there are so many amazing couples that want kids, and can’t have them.

8. WilSon Steps In

Days spoilers are hinting that an opportunity will arise where Will and Sonny can become parents again. Could it be that Eric connects Will to Allie, or is it that WilSon reach out to the same adoption agency that Eric finds for Allie, and she registers? Could WilSon adopt Allie’s baby without knowing? The latter seems more like the option. Many will be in the dark before the real truth comes out, although the idea of Will (unknowingly or not) adopting his own niece/nephew does seem like a route Days would go down.

7. Momma Bear Rolls In

More interesting is the fact that actress Alison Sweeney is set to reprise her Sami Brady role sometime in July or August. Depending on how far along Allie is, could she be returning to welcome her grandchild into the world? Or, could she be headed to Salem to seek vengeance on Nicole for hurting both Eric and potentially Allie, if things get heated between the two of them. She may also be returning with EJ in tow if it turns out that Stefan DiMera is really alive.

6. Gabi And Gwen Fight Over Jake

DOOL spoilers hint that a new character is set to emerge on the scene, and that is Gwen, Jake’s ex, played by actress Emily O’Brien (Young and the Restless alum, ex-Jana Hawkes). Will Gwen still have feelings for Jake? Can she answer any questions around why he looks so much like Stefan DiMera? Either way, there’s a good chance she and Gabi won’t hit it off, and a new rivalry in the land of Salem may be born.

5. Vivian Returns To Confront Jake?

Speaking of Jake, Vivian Alamain is set to return in July, as actress Louise Sorel will reprise her infamous role. What could she be returning for? It only seems natural that word of Jake (and who he looks like) may reach Viv, and she could travel to Salem to see for herself. Or, perhaps she knows why Jake looks like Stefan … could she be involved in Jake’s sudden presence in the little town? Maybe he’s the new John Black (2.0). An unknown man whose memory has been erased and Viv had plastic surgery done on him so he’d look like the son she so desperately misses.

4. Philip Returns To Fight For Titan

DOOL fans may be quite excited to learn that Philip Kiriakis is set to return to the land of Salem, with actor Jay Kenneth Johnson reprising the role. Why is Philip back? Well, his dad’s health may be one variable, but another big one is Titan. He could have his eye on that CEO prize.

3. Xander Versus Philip Versus Brady

Philip will significantly change the dynamics within the Kiriakis family when he returns. First, he may be eyeing to break that bond between his dad and Xander, and he’ll be looking to shove Brady out of the CEO chair. As Brady tries to destroy the company, Philip will work hard to convince his dad to give him the reigns at Titan, and to forget about Xander as an ally (he has screwed up a ton).

2. Philip Catch’s Sarah’s Eye

On top of everything else, Philip may catch Sarah’s eye … and vice versa. While there’s nothing bona fide going on between Sarah and Brady, the two have bonded, and are scheming together. It’ll get under both Xander and Brady’s skin if Philip makes a move on Sarah … and if she accepts the moves he makes.

1. Summer’s Eve

How can a returning Eve play into all this? Well, she may return to cause some chaos for Jenn and Jack, she could still be bitter about all that went down last year. She may also come back at the same time Philip does. She loves her Kiriakis men … what if the two have a secret relationship that was developed outside of Salem? Maybe she and Philip come back as a pair – a team – to take Titan away from Brady, and place the control back between them!
