Days Of Our Lives News Round-Up For The Week (March 7, 2022)

Will Gwen continue on her path of destruction? Will Charlie get away with what he’s done? Why is Sami coming back to Salem? So many questions, so few answers! This new year will promise to be an explosive one on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), and while fans don’t know what exactly will happen next, it’s always fun to speculate! As such, below are some DOOL plotline predictions for 2021.

13. Sami’s Return

Sami is set to return to Salem soon, with a longer run than usual. What will bring Sami back to the little town? Upon learning that Allie has been assaulted, and going through the same thing her daughter has, could Sami decide to leave E.J.? Her storyline is said to be an “emotional” one this time around, and learning about what happened to Allie could trigger some resentment for Sami. After all, E.J. assaulted her many years ago, and she may decide the best thing to do is part from DiMera to sort out her feelings, heal, and help her daughter heal.

12. Lucas and Sami

Could leaving E.J. and confronting demons of the past bring Sami and Lucas together again? These two were a major super couple many moons ago, and it was E.J. who split them apart. In fact, they were going strong before DiMera entered the Salem scene. As Sami heals, and she and Lucas work together to help Allie and Henry rebuild their life, could some sparks fly between them?

11. Vivian’s Return

Speaking of returns, Vivian Alamain is set for a comeback, which Days fans will probably see unravel in February. After all, it is a Sweeps month! Soap legend Linda Dano has been recast in the role, so what will Viv be up to? She’ll probably want to get to know Jake better, meddle with his love life and try to come between him and Kate Roberts. Another reason that Alamain could be back is her need to protect Philip. He’s in a whack of trouble right now, and while she isn’t his mom, she does have a connection to him as Vivian was the one who carried him for nine months as Kate’s (forced) surrogate!

10. The Mob Is Back In Town

As Ava has links to the mob, which also means that Charlie does too, could thugs start storming into Salem? Philip owes these dangerous goons money that he’s trying to launder through Titan. The mob may also help Charlie get off on all charges laid against him, which could mean that he’ll prove to be a threat to Ava, Allie, and potentially Claire, not to mention Philip, Xander, Sarah, and possibly Chloe.

9. Charlie Is Released

It would seem as if Charlie should get hauled off jail, never to be seen again, and everyone could just move on with their lives. But that doesn’t seem like it’s going to be the case. Charlie will be released, whether that’s on bail or that charges didn’t “stick” (his mob friends may help him with that). He’ll refuse the DNA test linking him to Henry and Tripp, and he’ll try to convince Claire to take off with him outside of Salem. She’ll agree without batting an eyelash.

8. The Road Trip Turns Into A Nightmare

As Charlie and Claire head out of town, the young man will be “normal” at first, but then slowly let his instability show. He’ll start to snap at Claire, and the two may begin to argue. Before she knows it, he’ll admit to everything. Their fun “road trip” to escape the parental units will become a nightmare for Claire. He’ll tie her up, and then threaten to sexually assault her like he did Allie.

7. Rescue Time!

When Shawn, Belle, Marlena, John, and the rest of the crew realize that Charlie has left Salem with Claire, a massive rescue mission will take place. Ben will join the gang, too. They’ll find Claire, just in the nick of time. Ben may even save the day for Claire before anything happens. This will launch a friendship and eventual romance between Ben and Claire.

6. Ciara Returns

By the time the holidays hit, Ben and Claire will be a bona fide couple. Blaire will be happy, in love, and at peace with everything. After all, Ciara might be fond of the two being together; she wouldn’t want either of them to be alone and sad. That would be true — if she had really passed on! Ciara will end up returning to the land of Salem before 2021, very much alive, and will be devastated to learn that her “niece” hooked up with her husband.

5. Elani and Their Twins

It is utterly heart wrenching to watch what Eli and Lani are going through right now. Finding out your newborn babies have been kidnapped is every parent’s worst nightmare. The twins will be found and brought home soon. DOOL spoilers imply that the storyline will help to introduce a new character known as Pauline, who also happens to be played by Jackee Harry of 227 fame. Seems as if Pauline is somehow related to Elani, whether through Eli or Lani. Maybe Pauline organized the twins to be kidnapped to keep them safe from a bigger threat?

4. Gwen Reveals All

DOOL fans will soon learn who Gwen is, and all arrows seem to be pointing to the fact that she could be an illegitimate child of Jack’s. This secret will turn the entire Deveraux family upside down. Jack will feel guilty for not being in Gwen’s life, while Jennifer will turn into momma bear mode to fiercely protect Abigail. Abby may come to resent Jack if he even attempts to excuse any of Gwen’s recent behaviors. It’ll be a mess throughout 2021.

3. The Chad Factor

Chabby will break up as soon as Abigail finds out about Chad and Gwen’s one-night stand. Gwen is sure to end up expecting by the time February hits. Chad will be torn between wanting to be there for his unborn child and proving his love and commitment to Abby and their children. Plus, while he’ll be aware that Gwen isn’t as innocent as she pretends to be, he’ll still hold a soft spot for her.

2. A Wedding

As Abigail pushes Chad away, Gwen will be there to help him pick up the pieces. She might either figure out a way to blackmail him into marriage, or guilt/manipulate him into it, but as Chabby divorces, he and Gwen will be planning a wedding together. Things will fizzle between Gabi, Kate, and Jake, and Lambert will start to be a friend that Abigail can turn to as the summer approaches. They’ll start to get closer and closer as the months go by. Could Jake and Abigail become something more as 2021 ends?

1. Rafe’s Romances

Hard to see who could end up with Rafe at this point. There seems to be some chemistry between him and Nicole, so a friendship could turn into a romance. Then there’s the idea that Ava might be someone he could romance. With Sami’s return on the horizon, could these two exes reunite? Only time will tell!
