12. EJ’s Trial

EJ’s trial will surely be a nail-biter. Now that fans know the truth about Sami’s kidnapping, watching DiMera go down for something he didn’t do will be frustrating. Lucas will also join the circus this week and take the stand. EJ will continue to proclaim his innocence, while also pointing the finger of blame at Lucas. The biggest question is, will anyone believe Mr. DiMera?

11. Will Chad Fess Up?

DOOL spoilers hint that Chad will grow a conscience this week and think about exposing the truth around Sami’s kidnapping. Added teasers hint that things may not go as planned. Will Lucas try to stop Chad? Could he blackmail him into keeping it hidden? Could Horton go to extreme lengths to try and silence EJ’s brother before he spills the beans?

10. Could Lucas Get Caught… By Accident (Or On Purpose)?

Kate’s in-the-know about what Lucas has done. As much as she wants to protect her son, she also doesn’t want to see EJ go to jail for something he didn’t do. Will she be the key to DiMera’s freedom (and Lucas’ downfall)? Could she accidentally cause Lucas to trip up on the stand? Will she tell Belle the truth? Maybe Lucas will confess and unknowingly be recorded the entire time?

9. EJ Will Get Off

Whether it is because Lucas gets exposed, or EJ’s released on a technicality, it’s likely that DiMera will be cleared of all charges. DOOL spoilers for the week of January 17th note that chaos will erupt in the courtroom, so there’s a good chance either Kate or Chad will tell the judge the truth. There’s also the possibility of Lucas blurting out his guilt by accident or purposely because Belle trips him up on the stand.

8. Sarah’s Found!

DOOL spoilers for this coming week indicate that Abigail will get a lead on Sarah’s whereabouts. Teasers for the week of January 17th reveal that Ms. Horton will return to the canvas, as actress Linsey Godfrey reprises the role. The good news is that Sarah is back; however, with everything that’s gone down since she left (and now that Gwen is in the picture), could things get sticky for Xander?

7. Sarah’s Memory

There’s a good chance that Sarah has either had her memory completely wiped or that she has some memory loss. Maybe she remembers her relationship with Xander but doesn’t remember her kidnapping. Perhaps she doesn’t remember Xandy’s redemption but remembers how he switched her baby for Rachel. She might have some animosity for her ex, and not want to be near him. This would be a major win for Gwen.

6. Can Steve And Kayla Find Kristen?

Unlike Sarah, the search for Kristen will be far more intense. Steve and Kayla will inch closer to Ms. DiMera; however, Kristen can be a sneaky one. They’ll zero in on a convent, and there’s a good chance that DiMera will head back to her nun roots and look for some redemption from God. With that said, just as Patch and Kay get closer to nabbing Kristen, she might be onto them and slip through their fingers. The search for Kristen DiMera may take weeks, or even months.

5. Nancy And Craig Return

DOOL spoilers for the week of January 10th suggest that Chloe’s mom Nancy will return. And from the looks of it, her dad Craig will arrive on the Salem scene during the week of January 17th. There’s a good chance that the two are having marital issues; however, can Chloe help them get back to normal (or their version of normal)?

4. He Said, She Said

Nancy will arrive at Chloe’s unexpectedly this week, while Craig will return the week of January 17th to “set the record straight”. Will Chloe be left in the middle of this squabble? There’s a possibility that Nancy and Craig’s issues are a “he said, she said” situation. Then again, there’s always a chance that Lane’s dad has been unfaithful, and her mom has had enough.

3. What’s Going On With Susan?

Susan got violently ill on Friday’s episode, and there’s a good chance the Devil is behind it all. Tripp will try to figure out what’s wrong with Banks early on this coming week; however, will Satan silence the woman? EJ’s trial is set to start, and Johnny is Banks’ only relative in town. If she’s in the hospital and sick, he could pay her a visit. Will Susan land in a coma so that Devil Johnny can keep her quiet?

Johnny will proclaim his marriage is over this week, and Chanel will be heartbroken. With that said, the Devil will be single and ready to mingle! Hard to imagine that a romance will happen this fast between these two characters, especially since Gabi is in love with Jake and good friends with Sami. Plus, Johnny is Ari’s uncle. Just seems wrong on all levels, but this is the land of Salem…

Could Devil Johnny cast a spell on Gabi to make her want him? Seems like this is the only plausible reason that things could get so steamy between these two characters. Then there’s the idea of alcohol being involved. Regardless, the Devil may want to seduce Gabi for the fun of it, or there could be more strategy involved. Is he looking to have a baby of his own? Has he ditched his efforts against baby “Cin”?
