Days Of Our Lives News Round-Up For The Week (March 7, 2022)

Will Ben’s plan to “kidnap” Ciara succeed? What will happen with Sami and E.J.? Will Nicole turn to Rafe for some support during her divorce? While it’s only been a week and a bit since Days of Our Lives (DOOL) took a hiatus, thanks to the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, it feels like forever! No need to fret, though! Salem will be back in full swing before you know it. As such, it’s time to have a little fun by speculating on storylines for the show’s return. Below are some DOOL post-Olympics plotline predictions for the week of August 9, 2021 and beyond.

12. E.J. Drops A Bombshell

Fans know that E.J. knows about Sami’s affair with Lucas; however, will DiMera let her in on the secret, too? He’ll beat around the bush for a little bit, and then drop a bombshell when she least expects it. In typical E.J. fashion, he’ll withhold all the proof he has, to see how far Sami will go to cover up her lie.

11. Sami Scrambles

DOOL spoilers hint that Sami will deny, deny, deny until she has no leg left to stand on. Added teasers note that E.J. will tell her he has “evidence” of her affair, and then show her Kristen’s letter. While Sami will “explain” why she did what she did (she thought DiMera had no interest in her anymore), she won’t be able to “explain” her way out of all her lies and coverups.

10. E.J. Kicks Her Out

The first order of business for E.J. will be to kick Sami out of the mansion. She’ll move back in with Marlena and John, but Lucas will also see this as an opportunity. Sadly, he’ll have zero chance of winning Sami’s heart at this point. Once DiMera tells her that their marriage is over, this will motivate Sami to “win” her husband back. She always wants what she can’t have.

9. E.J.’s Revenge

E.J. won’t stop at just throwing Sami out. He’ll also concoct a plan of revenge to get back at her and Lucas. The plan for Horton might be a dire one. DOOL spoilers do hint that E.J.’s darker side will re-emerge once the show hits the airwaves again. Meanwhile, DiMera will target Sami where it hurts most.

8. The Belle Factor

There’s been a ton of speculation online about a possible romance between E.J. and Belle Brady. The two had some one-on-one scenes before the show went on its Olympic hiatus. Belle hasn’t been overly fond of Sami since she brought Jan Spears back to town. However, Belle would never sleep with E.J. just to get back at her sister — plus, she’s in love with Shawn. With that said, E.J. could trick Belle into bed. Maybe he places something in her drink or drugs her?

7. Could Sami Realize She’s Expecting?

Bedding both Lucas and E.J. very recently, could Sami end up expecting? Her children are all older, but Sami is still in her child-bearing years. Plus, anything is possible in the land of Salem. E.J. might change his revenge tune if Sami is carrying a baby, especially if he believes the child might be his.

6. Cin Reunion

A Cin reunion is inevitable at this point — but will it take days, weeks, or months? DOOL spoilers suggest that it won’t be long after Ben “forces” Ciara to the cabin. Sounds like Claire will do her best to stall the others at the wedding. With that said, Theo and Shawn might be desperate to find out where the real bride has landed.

5. The Search Is On

Claire will likely tell Shawn and Theo she doesn’t know where Ben has taken Ciara. The search will be on for the young woman, and in the meantime, Weston will do all he can to trigger Ciara’s memories while up at the cabin. What will likely happen is Ciara’s memories will come flooding back, just before Theo and Shawn barge in.

4. Cin Comes Together

When Shawn and Theo go busting into the cabin, they’ll possibly find Cin embraced in a kiss. Ciara will remember her love for Ben and insist that charges not be filed against him for “kidnapping” her before her wedding. Theo will be left broken-hearted. He may end up leaving Salem, too.

3. Cin Wedding #2

Since the last one was a bust and annulled, DOOL fans should expect Ciara and Ben to plan another wedding. Except this time around, the event won’t be so elaborate. They don’t want to chance anyone returning and ruining the whole thing for them. They may decide on quickie nuptials. It’ll be small, sweet and special, without all the frills. Now, time for some baby-making plans?!

2. Nicole Turns To Rafe

DOOL spoilers suggest that Nicole will lean on Rafe for support during her divorce from Eric. She’ll come clean about all she’s done, from her one-nighter with Xander, to how she revealed Sami’s affair to E.J. Hernandez is smitten with Walker, so he’ll accept and not judge what she’s done. He may even appreciate her honesty. But as they get closer (even just in friendship), Ava will look on in dismay.

Ava has (somewhat) turned over a new leaf — but not really. Days fans should expect the former mob princess to dig into her past manipulative skills to keep Nicole and Rafe apart. She’s not willing to give up her nice, handsome and sweet boyfriend to Walker. Even if he’s more interested in Nicole, and even if they seem like they are in love, Ava will do all she can to keep these two apart.
