Port Charles may be a little bit colder and snowier as of late, but that doesn’t mean winter will be a bore! What will come to be in the next few months on General Hospital (GH)? Things can change pretty fast in the little town, so it’s hard not to speculate! Below are some winter plotline predictions for winter 2020:

13. Nelle Out On The Loose

Nelle just refuses to go away, and is currently on a mission to snag a “get out of jail free” card. She can be very persistent, and after the holidays pass, she’ll get what she wants, and be a force to be reckoned with once she inherits Shiloh’s fortune. Her next “to do” list item? Getting Wiley back.

12. Lucas Passes On

Lucas is fighting for his life in the hospital right now. While friends and family continue to hope for the best, with him out of the way, Nelle could get that much closer to gaining custody of Wiley, or being a much bigger part of his life. There’s a good chance he’ll be on the verge of waking up when Nelle finds her way into his hospital room, and does the unthinkable.

11. Wiley Custody Battle

With Lucas out of the picture, Nelle can easily manipulate Brad. She’ll allow him access to the child if he agrees to help her gain custody of Wiley. She may even use her connection to Shiloh as a way to keep the truth about Wiley’s bio parents a secret. That way, she still gets her son, without revealing Michael is the baby’s father. Everyone will raise an eyebrow or two around the entire situation and Brad’s behavior, but with Lucas gone, Brad and Nelle could still keep the Wiley secret under wraps.

10. Julian’s Remorse

After Lucas passes away in the new year, Julian will be so locked in his own guilt, he may not even question Brad’s actions. He may also be struggling to keep his role in the car crash hidden as well. After all, if anyone finds out what he did not only would he be judged, but he could be charged as well. Julian could also spill the beans in front of Brad (by accident), and then the table could turn between the two, where Brad is in a position of power over Jerome.

9. Julian & Brook Lyn Romance

While all this is going on … could Julian engage in a little romance with Brook Lyn? He was the first person she met when she landed back in Port Charles! With Kim gone, Jerome could use a new companion, and perhaps the two could be a good match, all considering.

8. Friz Happy … For Now

It’s all sunshine and rainbows now that Franco has woken up and he’s back to being, well, Franco! Friz will enjoy a nice holiday season and a romantic New Year’s Eve; however, how long will this last? According to GH spoilers, Franco is headed to struggle a bit, and it could be about all he’s missed (and what he did) while he thought he was “Drew Cain.” It’ll take some time for him to come to terms with everything.

7. Kim Returns

Kim was juggling two men at one point in time, and then was whisked out of town, rather abruptly. Could she return in the winter months, baring child? If so, this could not only complicate things for Friz, but also Julian, as if Nero was expecting, it could be either man’s child. Either way, Kim returning would also be something that Franco will have to deal with, considering the relationship the two had while he was “Dranco.”

6. Nikolas Exposed

Across town, Nikolas has been incredibly sloppy when it comes to hiding himself from the residents of Port Charles. With Jax, Carly, and Ava in the know (as well as Charlotte), it’s only a matter of time before the entire town knows that Nikolas Cassadine is in fact alive. That’s when the proverbial poop hits the fan.

5. Cassadine Versus Cassadine

Not only will everyone be shocked about Nikolas being alive, this will officially launch a Cassadine versus Cassadine battle. Not only for the mass family fortune, but all the bad blood that has brewed between these two over the years. Should be interesting to see any confrontation scenes between these two men, after the truth comes out.

4. CarSon Cracks Due To Lie

When Sonny realizes that Carly knew about Nikolas all along and did not tell him, CarSon will undeniably start to crack, maybe even split up for a bit. Their relationship is like a roller coaster of ups and downs, so they’ll be okay in the long run; however, the winter season will be a very rocky time for them.

3. Search For Hayden

With Nikolas officially back in the Port Charles picture, there will be no reason for Hayden to remain hidden. Jax will continue to try and reach out, but with no answer back, he’ll grow increasingly concerned. With this worry, he’ll turn to Finn, after all, he is Violet’s dad and caregiver at the moment. Finn will turn to Anna, who will also turn to Robert, and a search for Hayden will be launched.

2. Much More Secrets Cause Jealousy

If a search for Hayden is launched, many more secrets about Finn’s ex may come to the surface. Anna will let Finn know, and he may very well defend the mother of his child, which will rub Anna the wrong way. She’ll get to see firsthand just how much the good doctor really cares for Hayden, and the super couple might begin to crack.

1. Sam’s Released

There’s a ton of chatter around just how overcrowded Pentonville is as of late, and the entire talk about it seems to tease that Sam’s jail sentence may finally come to an end. While it may not happen during Christmas, there’s a good chance that a miracle could unravel just in time for New Year’s Eve, or early January, which really could start JaSam off on the right foot for 2020.
