12. Liam And Hope Are At Odds

Hope and Liam were on the same page about making sure that Douglas stays with them. But ever since Hope’s dinner with the Forresters, in which Douglas made it clear how happy he was in Thomas’ company, “Lope” is beginning to fracture. Hope wants to do whatever will make the boy happy, while Liam’s suspicions will grow that Thomas is only pulling Douglas away to get Hope’s attention. And it will aggravate Liam that Hope doesn’t see his point of view.

Just last year it appeared that Liam and Thomas were ready to turn over a new leaf, after Forrester came to his rival’s rescue and spared Liam a hefty prison sentence. Interestingly enough, while B&B writers put Carter’s love life on hold, they’ll open the door for Paris and Zende’s relationship. Could Paris finally see what her mother was telling her about Zende being the man of her dreams? And will the Forrester be willing to open his heart again?

Could Douglas’ toy be used to escalate the drama between Taylor and Brooke? Taylor may be above such tactics, but Steffy’s desire to reunite her parents could force her hand. Although the hug between Bill and Brooke will be innocent enough, Ridge will get a taste of his own medicine. He has been holding his wife to an unfair standard while hypocritically cheating with Taylor, and — if the Forrester dinner was any indication — he’s becoming pretty comfortable. So, will seeing his arch nemesis in Brooke’s arms give Ridge the final push he needs to end his marriage?

4. Bill’s Love Life Will Get Complicated

Recently, Bill and Li have been bonding over Ms. Finnigan’s traumatic encounter with Sheila, but that alone won’t send these pragmatic, strong-willed characters head over heels in love. Bill and Brooke’s nostalgia-fueled encounter will tease a reunion, and B&B writers have a few good reasons to pursue this narrative. First of all, it’ll create the necessary tension between Li and Bill to test their compatibility. It’ll also give Li portrayer Naomi Matsuda, who was nominated for a Daytime Emmy, a proper storyline.

3. The Sword Necklace

Logan’s rendezvous with Bill will also renew Spencer’s rivalry with Ridge, which left off on a curious note last year. Justin even delivered Bill’s sword necklace and promised to give Ridge the advantage against his former friend and employer. So, will Ridge soon take Justin up on his offer?

Il Giardino might be looking a little worse for wear over the next two weeks, because the restaurant’s custodian will be super busy. Not only will Deacon be in damage-control mode, trying to prevent Sheila from contacting Finn and Hayes, but he’ll also receive an unexpected message from his ex, Nikki Newman. Is Deacon right to say that Sheila is putting too much faith in her disguise, and that someone is bound to recognize her? Having his Genoa City past come back to haunt him, at a time when he’s already worried about going back to the slammer, won’t help his nerves one bit.

1. Deacon Has Limits… Even If Sheila Doesn’t

A spoiler photo shows Sheila, disguised as Lina, holding baby Hayes in the cliff house! It’s totally within Sheila’s capacity to break into the cliff house (and even abduct a child). But if that happens, Deacon won’t be part of it. After all, Sharpe is scheduled to be a major part of B&B’s upcoming crossover episode with The Young and the Restless! Deacon’s face-off with ex Nikki Newman is set to occur on September 26th, so we suspect he’ll be too busy to get roped into any abduction plans with Sheila.
