While this year’s reunion featuring Chelsea DeBoer, Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans and Briana DeJesus was reportedly the most “enjoyable and drama-free” than in recent years, there was an alleged confrontation between star Jenelle Evans and the reunion’s co-host Nessa.
According to The Ashley, things got uncomfortable for Jenelle when Nessa decided to call out Jenelle and her husband David Eason for some of the things they have said and posted over the past year. Nessa also took issue with comments that were made about her boyfriend, NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
“Jenelle had posted some negative stuff to her social media about Colin in the past. David, too. Nessa also had screenshots of a bunch of posts Jenelle and David have made over the past few months that she and other people felt were racist,” a source told The Ashley. “Jenelle had no clue it was coming and was basically ambushed on-stage.”
The sourced added that Jenelle first tried to make excuses for what was posted on her social media by saying that she had no control over them and wasn’t the one who posted them, which only angered Nessa more because she wasn’t taking responsibility. Of course, most of the Teen Mom stars do let a company post “clickbait” articles to their accounts, but the content Nessa was referring to were not those articles.
“Nessa was very professional about it all, though,” the source said. “She was not screaming or getting in Jenelle’s face or anything like that. But she was very firm and was ready for this. She was telling Jenelle, ‘You posted these things online about my man and you should have come and talked to me about it, instead of posting it.’ Jenelle would not take any responsibility for her words.”
Apparently the confrontation became too much and Jenelle ran off stage, but did return after producers talked to her. When Nessa continued to ask her about the posts, Jenelle reportedly stormed off stage again, yelling, “I didn’t come for this, dude!”
Of course, Jenelle’s husband is not allowed on set or to be around the other women or MTV crew, but David reportedly did try to distract Jenelle by constantly texting her through her segment.
After the taping, Jenelle took to her Instagram to share that the reunion had been difficult. “After this stressful reunion, I’ve been put through the ringer. To trust an entire group of people for years then they turn their back on you and treat you like a puppet is beyond words,” she captioned a photo of herself and Eason, 30, posing with their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley. “Family is everything I need to make it through my hard times and I am truly #blessed for what I have today. Didn’t take many pictures but super happy my mom was there by my side to defend everything. Please don’t ever let anyone bring you down and be strong in whatever you do. #TeenMom2 #ReunionSpecial.”
