Judi Evans, who played Adrienne Kiriakis on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), suffered serious injuries in a horseback riding accident on May 16.
Reports indicate Evans was followed by some men while horseback riding and her horse began nipping at her feet. “She then took him on a different trail then he got spooked, bolted then she fell off the horse and broke many bones and some ribs,” a representative for Evans told Soaps.com.
She suffered a broken collarbone, several broken ribs and a collapsed lung in the incident. Other riders found Evans, who was still conscious, and called 911. She is currently in hospital recovering from her injuries.
An avid rider, Evans has a photo of herself with one of her horses as the background photo on her Twitter page.
The actress exited DOOL in January 2020, after it was revealed Adrienne had passed away in a car accident on Mother’s Day. But Wally Kurth, who plays her husband Justin Kiriakis, told fans recently that she would be returning to DOOL. But he didn’t reveal whether she’d be portraying Adrienne or her doppelganger Bonnie Lockhart.
