Bold And The Beautiful News Round-Up For The Week (August 8, 2022)

This week on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B), Katie and Thorne fast-track their wedding plans; Steffy plots to destroy the Hope For The Future clothing line; and, with any luck, Hope’s career along with it. Also, Ridge finds out about Brooke’s secret meetings with Bill, and the hearing to determine sole custody of Will gets underway. 9. Sister Wives Showdown

As she dismantles the Hope For The Future clothing line piece by piece and staff member by staff member, Steffy rationalizes her decisions based on what’s beneficial for Forrester Creations. Considering she handed Liam over to Hope, Steffy believes she has the right to further her career at Forrester and destroy Hope’s at the same time. There is a spoiler, however, that suggests the two women will agree on something this week. What that is remains to be seen.

7. Pass The Mayo

The Forresters and the Logans are experts at putting a wedding together in mere minutes and Katie and Thorne’s nuptials are no exception. After an engagement that lasted a few days, Katie will tie the knot with Ridge’s milquetoast mayonnaise brother (as described by Bill) this week. The pair hopes the marriage will show a united front to the judge in the custody hearing. Justin worries that Katie and Thorne’s marriage will be the last straw for Bill and will drive him over the edge.

6. Familiar Faces Return

Ashley Jones (Bridget) and Jennifer Gareis (Donna) return for Katie and Thorne’s wedding this week. These two characters are trotted out every time there’s a Logan family event lately, but reports indicate viewers may start seeing more of Donna, as Gareis has been put back on contract status at B&B. Donna and Bridget are happy for Katie but Brooke is hiding her anger, as she believes the wedding is a ruse to influence the custody case.

5. Bridge Secrets

Ridge and Brooke have been keeping secrets from one another – Brooke’s clandestine meetings with Bill, and Ridge’s underhanded discussion with Judge McMullen, hoping to weaken Bill’s chances at the custody hearing. Rumors point to Ridge finding out about Brooke and Bill’s hush-hush conversations very soon, but it is enough to put an end to their marriage?

Bill will try to convince both Liam and Wyatt to testify in court on his behalf in the custody battle for Will. Bill will plead with Liam to support him instead but after all he’s done to son number one, it’s likely to blow up in his face.

Bill’s wicked ways come back to haunt him in the courtroom as the custody clash for Will kicks off. Will Liam describe the hell his father put him through while Bill blatantly pursued his wife only a few short months ago? Will blowing up the Spectra building, with Liam and Sally still inside it, also come to light? Bill will feel powerless to do anything about this nasty turn of events.

2. Family Loyalties Tested

Family members are pitted against each other this week as they testify on conflicting sides of the custody case. Brooke and Wyatt are worried about testifying on Bill’s behalf and for good reason. Katie will not be pleased to see either of them working against her. Just a few months ago, Katie was engaged to Wyatt, so his testimony could be hurtful. And Brooke has usually stood by her sister and to hear her testifying for Bill could be a huge betrayal in Katie’s eyes.

1. Judgment Call

Ridge is hoping he has done enough to convince Judge McMullen to give full custody of Will to Katie, but will the judge feel obligated, because years ago Ridge had lent him money so he could go to law school, or will his conscience kick in? Thorne and Katie have no idea Ridge has been pressuring the judge and if Bill or Justin discover the truth it could mean the end of Katie’s custody bid and the end of Judge McMullen’s career.
