Questions will arise surrounding Eric’s mental health, coming up on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). As Ridge and Brooke spearhead a campaign to force Quinn out of their lives, Hope will encourage Finn to believe that Sheila deserves another chance. Also, who will help Sheila execute her next move? 12. Quinn Takes More Heat

Eric might not be aware of it yet, but the news about his polyamorous arrangement with Quinn seems to be working in his favor. Both Brooke and Katie see his decision to let Quinn sleep with Carter as a heroic sacrifice. Alas, the arrangement makes Quinn look even worse. “How could she even agree to this?” Brooke recently exclaimed. Even though Eric encouraged Quinn to sleep with Carter, that fact won’t stop Brooke from doubling down on her desire to get rid of Quinn forever.

11. Ridge Confronts Carter

Ridge is clearly on the same page as his wife, and he’ll confront Carter on the issue. After Carter confirms that the arrangement was Eric’s idea, Ridge will lean into the Forrester COO, accusing him of disrespecting Eric. Carter will be put on the spot when Ridge has a request of his former friend. Will this “request” be more of an ultimatum? Either way, the biggest test of Carter’s love for Quinn is yet to come.

10. Eric’s Issue Is Not ED

At least that’s what Ridge will believe. After he’s ejected from the Forrester mansion by his father, Ridge will return to Brooke and fill her in on Eric’s defense of Quinn. They’ll both be livid and looking for an explanation that runs much deeper than performance issues in the bedroom. Ridge, in particular, will begin to suspect that Eric is suffering from a cognitive issue.

9. Eric’s Epiphany

Could Ridge be onto something? In the last few frames of the episode on Monday, October 4th, Eric turned away from Quinn and made a series of expressions that ranged from frustration to curiosity. There was definitely a “eureka” moment mixed in there as well. Is Eric suffering from a mental setback, or is he realizing how to get his life in order? Either way, Katie will surely be monitoring the situation more closely over the next two weeks. There’s even a chance that she’ll move into the mansion to keep him company.

8. A Second Vow Renewal Ceremony?

Everyone has an opinion when it comes to Eric’s love life. Brooke and Katie think he’s afraid of being alone, Ridge thinks he needs to throw Quinn out of his life, and Donna probably thinks she’s the answer to all of his troubles. But Eric’s epiphany seemed to happen when he glanced up at the portrait of Quinn above the mantle. In spite of his family’s wishes, could Eric be considering a second vow renewal ceremony? And this time, will he make sure the Forrester mansion is as empty as the day he and Quinn married?

7. A Power Struggle

It seems that whatever Eric does next, it’ll further Ridge’s suspicion that his father is mentally unwell. And as the divide between this father and son deepens, we can expect a power struggle to soon follow. Ridge wouldn’t try to control Eric’s assets, but he’s angry enough to issue that threat. Amid these hostilities, the onus will fall on Quinn to do the right thing. Will she cut things off with Carter, in a bid to silence Eric’s family?

6. Hope Opens A Can Of Worms

Just when Finn seemed to make peace with the fact that his birth mother can’t be in his life, Hope told him exactly what he had secretly been wanting to hear. Moreover, it looks like Hope will keep Finn’s secret that Sheila has once again reached out to him. That little secret could prove costly, if Sheila puts Kelly and Hayes at risk. How will Liam react if he learns that Hope kept such a communiqué secret?

5. An Opposing View

Hope’s perspective will cause friction with Steffy as well, just when these two had buried the hatchet. Hope couldn’t discount the bond between a mother and child, which made for some awkward conversation in the presence of Steffy, Liam and Finn. Steffy politely argued Hope’s point by getting into the Sheila issue, but her enthusiasm for trashing Sheila will begin to wear on Finn.

4. Finn’s New Secret

Paris and Hope’s counterpoint to Steffy will resonate with Finn, as he’ll increasingly believe that Steffy’s being stubborn on the subject of Sheila. After his heart-to-heart with Hope, Finn will reply to Sheila’s latest texts. Will it be another heart emoticon, or a confession of his own? No matter what he writes, it’ll be enough for Sheila to plot her next move.

3. Sheila’s Next Move

There’s speculation that Sheila might try to push Steffy back into a pill addiction, or dig up dirt around Steffy’s affair with Liam. Since Jack is out of the picture right now, Sheila will need a co-conspirator or pawn to elevate her chances of getting close to Finn and Hayes. B&B spoilers suggest that another nefarious character will make a return to the canvas this week, and possibly interrupt Liam and Hope’s romantic evening. Could this be Deacon Sharpe, freshly released from prison?

2. Who Is This Nefarious Character?

While the spoiler is tight-lipped about the character’s identity, the prospect of Hope’s father returning to the canvas would complicate this storyline in a bunch of interesting ways. Not only would Deacon also have a keen interest (and therefore stake) in making contact with his own grandchildren—making him a possible co-conspirator for Sheila—but his presence would take Finn and Hope’s friendship to a deeper level. Also, what might his return mean for Quinn?

1. The Assistant Manager

While B&B viewers wait for Paris to cross paths with Ms. Carter, it appears that Sheila has found another pawn to utilize. The assistant manager of Sheila’s hotel isn’t just a sounding board. He has a somewhat creepy interest in her and is also at her mercy, with regards to the imposition her extended stay is creating for him. Those two qualities will put him squarely in Sheila’s pocket. The question is: how will she manipulate this man?
