A new year may bring about a brand-new love interest for Thomas, as he battles Hope for custody of Douglas. Sheila will undoubtedly continue her scheming against Brooke and a skeptical Taylor may end up being the one who finally busts the troublemaker. Plus, will Quinn and Eric’s marital issues continue, or will they fade into wedded bliss? 12. Quinn And Eric’s Future

Now that they’ve reunited, will writers place Eric and Quinn on the back-burner, like they did for several years prior? On the other hand, Eric’s performance issues with his wife may continue to take center stage in 2022. And if Donna, who was unceremoniously dumped from his life and his company, returns and decides to fight for Eric, then all bets are off on Quinn and Eric’s future as a couple.

Since Thomas returned to the B&B canvas nearly three years ago, he’s only had one real romance, with Zoe, and it turned out he was just using her to make Hope jealous. When he finally got over his obsession with Hope, he pursued Paris, who rejected him. However, a new character is coming to the B&B canvas, and she may just end up becoming the love of Thomas’ life.

10. Custody Battle For Douglas

Since Taylor has returned, she has made it clear to Thomas that she thinks Douglas should be living with him and not Hope and Liam. Hope will be stunned and vow to Thomas that she’s not giving up Douglas without a fight. But who will win?

9. Steffy And Finn Put On The Back-Burner

Unfortunately, Steffy and Finn will be placed on the back-burner for several months this year, as Jacqueline MacInnes Wood expects baby number three this spring. It’s looking unlikely that the pregnancy will be worked into a storyline, so Steffy and Finn may just fade into the woodwork for a little while. Perhaps they’ll take a trip somewhere with their children and return in the late summer or fall when MacInnes Wood returns to work.

8. Wyatt And Flo Break Up

Wyatt and Flo will return to the canvas in the spring. After a beautiful wedding ceremony, the couple will decide to leave Los Angeles and head to Vegas. But by the fall, Wyatt will return alone. Heartbroken, he’ll explain that he and Flo have separated, and she decided to stay in Vegas with her mother Shauna, who will also exit the B&B canvas this year.

7. Paris Praise Finally Ends

Writers have tested Paris with Zende, Finn, Thomas and now Carter, and she’s had no chemistry with any of them. Early in the year, she will cheat on Zende with Carter and the couple will have a full-blown romance, which is going to cause quite the outrage at Forrester Creations. But will Zoe’s warnings about Paris suddenly resonate with Zende and will all the Paris praise end when everyone realizes she’s not as perfect as she seems?

6. Characters Who Should Return

Speaking of Zoe, now that she and Paris’ mom Grace is in LA, the character should be recast, and the model should return to Los Angeles. She could triumphantly tell both Zende and Carter that she warned them about her sister, but they didn’t listen. Another character desperately needed on the canvas is Brooke’s daughter, Bridget. When the secret about Brooke and Deacon’s kiss comes to light, how great would it be if an angry Bridget was present to point her finger at the two of them?

5. Will Katie Turn To Wyatt?

Katie was hoping to start a romance with Carter — and their friendship seemed to blossom — until she cancelled a lunch date with the Forrester COO to take a zoom call with Bill and Will. Fickle Carter decided he didn’t want another complicated relationship and quickly dropped the idea of getting together with her. But will Katie find a new man, or return to a former flame? Bill has told her he wants her back, but she’s been hesitant to go there, and for good reason. Because if Ridge and Brooke do break up, Bill may decide to pursue Katie’s sister. Then there’s Wyatt, who may also be single by the fall. Katie and Wyatt had a sizzling chemistry together, so a reunion is not out of the question.

Sheila got away with changing the label on a champagne bottle, which caused Brooke to fall off the wagon. She’ll see the psychiatrist as her ally and will continue to spout off to Taylor about her hatred for Brooke. But when Taylor finds out about Brooke falling off the wagon on New Year’s Eve, will she put two and two together and realize Sheila was somehow responsible?

Deacon and Hope’s relationship will become strained when she finds out he was drinking with Brooke and even kissed her on New Year’s Eve. But will Liam say ‘I told you so’?

2. “Bridge” On The Rocks

Like all secrets, Brooke and Deacon’s kiss on New Year’s Eve will come out — and when it does, viewers can expect all heck to break loose. Ridge will not only be angry about the kiss, but he’ll be disheartened by Brooke’s deception. He’s told her several times now how proud he is that she came clean about breaking her sobriety. He also asked her if she was with Deacon when it happened, but she stayed mum. Ridge will be so furious that he’ll tell Brooke they’re through.
