Young And The Restless News Round-Up For The Week (September 19, 2022)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! February Sweeps month offers a ton of drama, character returns and exits, as well as new romances and feuds in the land of Young and the Restless (Y&R). What should fans expect these next four weeks? There’s nothing viewers love to do more than speculate! Below are some Y&R plotline predictions for February 2021.

13. Chance’ Exit Affects Abby

Y&R fans were taken aback when Donny Boaz recently revealed that Chance Chancellor’s last air date was Monday, February 1st. According to his Instagram post, Chance won’t pass away or be replaced, he just “won’t be there anymore.” Can life go on for Abby in the land of Genoa City without Chancellor? Do they break up onscreen and Chance is never mentioned again? As the exit is due to the added costs around COVID-19 tests, could executives be hoping this exit is a short-term thing? Could Chabby stay together, with Chance simply off-canvas, where Chance returns at some point after the pandemic is over?

12. Abby Exits, Too

Y&R spoilers for February 2nd suggest that Abby will tell Mariah to place their surrogacy plans on hold. According to Soap Opera Nation, Donny Boaz isn’t the only Y&R actor set to be released. In fact, there are an added three to four others on the chopping block. Could Abby be on her way out, too? It would make sense. No Chance, no Chabby storyline, no baby, nothing interesting for Abby.

11. Abby Moves Forward Without Chance

Perhaps Chance is on his way out of town due to a secret mission. Chance’s last scene showed him answering the phone and saying something along the lines of, “I was wondering when you would finally catch up with me.” Abby may feel as if she should move on without Chancellor. She wants a baby, maybe she and Mariah decide to go through with the surrogacy without him?

10. Other Character Exits

As fans of General Hospital learned last November, no character is safe when it comes to budget cuts. So, who could also be on their way out of Genoa City come February? While a fan favorite, Lola seems like a realistic idea as she doesn’t seem to have a storyline right now. Another sad exit would be Michael Baldwin, and he doesn’t have much on the go, either. But no one should rule out big names either. Traci may head back to New York City, and the secret that is about to be exposed about Kyle could have him heading out of Genoa City until the heat dies down.

9. Elena and Devon’s One-Nighter

Elena and Devon will continue to keep their one-night stand a secret. After the fallout of Elena and Nate’s cheating last autumn, both don’t want to have to try and rebuild relationships that are finally settled once again. With that said, soap opera fans know all too well that the truth has a way of coming out. Both will struggle with the lies they are telling, and both will feel guilty about it.

8. Devon and Amanda

Of course, fans should expect to see Devon and Amanda speed things up in the romance department. They’ve been very slow around this relationship, and have built a solid friendship; however, it’s time to move forward and get to the good stuff. They’ll take things to a more serious level in February, and sparks will fly! There are bound to be some steamy scenes between them.

7. Elena Gets Unfortunate News

The last time around, Elena was far too guilty to not reveal her infidelity to Devon. This time around, despite feeling guilty, Elena will know it’s for the absolute best that she keep things under wraps; nothing will waiver her or Devon in this regard. But what if Elena ends up expecting? This could add a major plot twist in the storyline.

6. Sharon and Adam Cross A Line

Y&R spoilers for February hint that Adam and Sharon’s bond will be exposed in public, and there will be a dire turn of events for Rey and Chelsea. Do Adam and Sharon cross a line? Does it get leaked on social media? This may also affect Faith, as she cannot stand Adam.

5. Chelsea’s Dark Side

Y&R spoilers for February also hint that Chelsea could dig into her dark side, and the repercussions might not be good for Sharon. Could Chelsea get better, hide the fact that she’s doing okay, all in an attempt to sabotage Sharon? What if she’s the one that’s filming Adam and Sharon together? It might be hard to do, but knowing the embarrassment the two will feel, she might feel it’s worth it.

4. Faith Spirals

Faith isn’t in a good place as it is, and she is building a tremendous amount of resentment towards her mom. If Sharon crosses a line with Adam (of all people), and it’s exposed, Faith will spiral. Not only will the bullying enhance because her mom slept with her kidnapper, but the very stress of the entire situation will have her drinking (and maybe even doing drugs) that much more.

3. Chloe Remains Firm In Chelsea’s Corner

Y&R spoilers state that Chloe will be fierce in her protection of Chelsea. Does Chloe help Chelsea (secretly) get better? Does she help her get back at Adam and Sharon? Maybe she takes action to get Lawson removed from Adam’s care if an affair is exposed? Chloe will be relentless in protecting her BFF, so at least Chelsea has Mrs. Fisher by her side.

2. Jack and Sally

Seems as if Jack and Sally will get a little closer this February, as according to Y&R spoilers, they’ll raise some eyebrows. They may not dive into bed together, but could the two enjoy a lip lock? Jack is smitten with Spectra, but is Sally interested in Jack for more than just his money, clout, and to get on Summer’s nerves?

1. Phyllis Gets In The Action

It seemed as if Phyllis was trying to turn a new leaf. After all, she let Vicky off the hook for the entire embezzlement thing, but nothing riles Red up more than someone who tries to mess with her children. February Y&R spoilers tease that Phyllis will happily take Sally on. But is this because of Spectra’s “feud” with Summer or Jack’s wandering eyes?
