It looks like Kate Mansi’s return stint on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) is coming to an end. Mansi, who plays Abigail DiMera, will exit the soap sometime in May, according to Soap Opera Digest.
Abigail and her husband Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) had been away from Salem for about two years (keeping in mind the one-year time jump) and although Chad returned a bit earlier, Abby reappeared on the sudser during the week of March 16.
As viewers know, during the time Flynn and Mansi were absent, they were appearing in the DOOL digital series Chad & Abby in Paris. When Chad came back without Abby, it was because she was on a trip to Africa.
When Abby left DOOL in 2016, it was because she was having visions of Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) trying to attack her. She landed in a mental health facility but escaped and faked her own demise.
Most recently, fans have seen Abby struggling with hallucinations yet again, this time about Ben and Orpheus (George DelHoyo). Will Abby’s Salem departure this month be for similar reasons as her exit in 2016? Keep watching DOOL to find out!
