“Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston,” she wrote in the caption. “You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain.”

The father and daughter overcame challenges in their relationship and became quite close. Jennifer had worried about her father’s health in recent years, even asking DOOL to amend John’s working hours during the global health crisis.

“And on 11/11 no less! You always had perfect timing,” the Friends star continued. “That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now. I’ll love you till the end of time.”

Aniston was born on July 24th, 1933 in Crete, Greece and immigrated to the United States at the age of 2. He took on his iconic DOOL role in 1985 and continued in the role until his passing.

“Don’t forget to visit,” Jennifer signed off.
