Bold And The Beautiful News Round-Up For The Week (August 8, 2022)

A character return won’t be the only event to shuffle the deck this week on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B)! No sooner has Steffy unpacked her bags, when Lt. Baker will zero in on her hubby, Finn. Also, Thomas will discover what Liam was really apologizing for. There are so many storylines worthy of speculation here, so let’s jump right into our plotline predictions for May 24 – June 4, 2021!

11. Steffy’s Return

Now that actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has returned from her maternity leave, Los Angeles can welcome Steffy Forrester back. Unfortunately, it won’t necessarily be the welcome she expects! When Liam comes by to visit with their daughter Kelly, Steffy will see a strained and distant shadow where her ex used to be. Although they are now co-parenting amicably, Steffy knows Liam very well and will challenge him about what’s happened since she last saw him.

10. Finn Is a Top Suspect

Steffy will have to put a pin in her worries for Liam, however, when Lt. Baker makes clear that her hubby is a suspect in Vinny’s demise. Finn has no known alibi for the night in question and, on top of that, Baker has made vague references to having information on the young doctor. Finn’s interrogation might change the course of the investigation, but it might also change how Steffy sees her husband!

9. Hope Will Carry the Burden

Hope will experience firsthand the guilt that consumed Liam over the past few weeks. Although she’s made the decision to stand by her husband, it seems unlikely that she’ll stand by the cover-up that Bill has devised. Although she doesn’t want to implicate her father-in-law, the urge to protect her husband and family will be far stronger.

8. Thomas Will Overhear The Truth…

Dinnertime conversations at the Lope cabin will probably consist of Vinny talk for the foreseeable future. With Hope fretting about her family’s future, will this heavy topic eventually catch Thomas’s ear? Hope will begin to distance herself from Thomas, unsure of how to proceed and fearful that one look at her poker face would reveal everything. When her change in behavior piques Thomas’s curiosity, he might overhear just enough to act on.

7. … And Go Bad

Will Thomas take this news and go to the police? No. After all, telling on Bill and Liam would place Hope in trouble as well, since she’s in on the conspiracy now. Instead, it seems more likely that Thomas will try to weaponize this secret for maximum effect — preferably one that sees Bill and Liam suffer! On Thomas’s list of most-hated people, Bill is only runner-up to the person who killed Vinny; so imagine what the Forrester is capable of when he concludes that Bill and the murderer are the same person!

6. An Unknown Witness Emerges

How will Thomas handle this? Will he make it known that he’s aware what happened on the night of the hit-and-run? Will he taunt Bill and Liam with his knowledge and make them grovel? Will he make demands? Thomas would like to do all of the above, but then he’d be at odds with Hope. Instead, Thomas will scheme to do all of these things with his identity concealed. Bill and Liam will find out that “someone” outside of the Spencer-Logan circle knows the truth, and Thomas will watch it eat away at them.

5. The Price Of The Quarter Fix

Having risked it all for a night of passion, Quinn and Carter now have their romantic lives back in order with their pre-fling partners. Quinn is back in Eric’s good books (not to mention the “good life”), while Carter has jumped back into an engagement with Zoe to chase away those pesky Shauna rumors. They should both feel grateful but instead, they feel incomplete. The Quarter romance was so short-lived and exciting that both Carter and Quinn feel as though something is missing once they’ve retreated to their safety zones.

4. Time Is Running Out For Zoe

We know two things with certainty: 1) Zoe doesn’t quit, even when she really should, and 2) Kiara Barnes will be leaving the canvas soon. How do we make sense of this conflicting information? Unless a last-minute recasting happens, Zoe will be disappearing — the question is, will Ms. Buckingham return to England (i.e. give up on Carter) or find out the truth and snap?

3. Zoe Finds Out

It appears that we are merely in the eye of the Quarter storm because when Zoe finds out the truth, both Quinn and Carter’s relationships will be destroyed forever. But how will the news come out? Will Zoe catch Carter and Quinn awkwardly sharing office space and put the pieces together, or will she flat-out catch them rekindling their forbidden romance?

2. Shauna Slips Up

We predict that Shauna or Ridge will play a part in any impending fallout. Will Quinn’s bestie crack under the pressure of Zoe’s relentless questioning? Or might she become resentful of the burden she’s carrying, and let her frustrations slip to someone? There’s really no avoiding someone as persistent as Zoe!

1. Ridge Knows Best

Nobody knows Carter, Quinn and Shauna quite like Ridge, so it’s just as likely that the Forrester connects the dots. Will he sense some friction between his cagey coworkers, or hear through the grapevine that Shauna’s telling of their fling doesn’t align with Carter’s? Either way, if Ridge’s suspicions are strong enough, he’ll be trapped between allegiances — one to his friend, another to Brooke and yet another to his father figure, Eric!
