Will the tide change where Diane is concerned? Can Nikki and Phyllis really drive Jenkins out of town? What will happen to the Moustache now that Adam has the goods on him? The Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans just love speculating on storylines! As such, below are some Y&R plotline predictions for August 29th to September 9th, 2022.

12. Diane Figures Things Out

Y&R spoilers for this coming week hint that Diane will figure out that the tables have been turned on her. Will she lose her cool? Will this cause her to slip up and make a mistake? Kyle seems to be wary of how his mom is acting with his dad, so he’s slightly on to her. But will she do something major that gets Jack wondering, too?

11. Will Diane Turn Talia Into An Ally?

Diane is set to confront Talia about her story in the days ahead. Things seem a little too good to be true where Ms. Morgan is concerned. Nikki and Phyllis seem to forget that investigative reporters are always “on” the job. Is Talia scooping up information to nail Diane, or will she turn around and write up a story about Phyllis and Nikki in the end? Maybe Jenkins can convince Talia to become an ally.

10. Will Jack Decide To Give Red Another Go?

Y&R spoilers for this week suggest that Jack will make a stunning decision. This could go many ways. He may decide to give a romance with Phyllis another go, or this could be about Diane. It may also be business-related. With that said, if he chooses to forgive Red and give their love one more chance, then things could get interesting when the proverbial poop hits the fan about Talia’s story on Jenkins.

9. Could Jack Figure Out What Phyllis Has Been Up To?

While Talia turning on Nikki and Phyllis is a possibility (either now or in the future), Y&R spoilers hint that Mrs. Newman and Ms. Summers will celebrate a win in the coming days. So, it’s likely that Ms. Morgan’s story about Diane will get published this week. Plus, Red will settle a debt of sorts. This is probably about Diane, and great news for fans who want to see Jenkins go down. However, if Jack decides to give Phyllis another chance, this could all end badly if he finds out that she was behind Diane’s exposé.

8. Will Phyllis Ruin Her “Umpteenth” Chance?

Oh, the irony of Phyllis suddenly reuniting with Jack, only for it to go up in flames because of her constant need for “revenge”… It’s a constant theme in Red’s life. Although it’ll be great to see Diane squirm, does Phyllis realize that she could not only lose Jack, but also her job at Marchetti, plus the respect of Summer and Kyle, all in one shot? Could Diane also end up looking like the victim, once again, when all is said and done?

7. Could Diane and Jack Cross A Line?

Finding out that Phyllis was behind Talia’s exposé might not only be the final nail in the “Phack” couple’s coffin, but it could drive Jack right into Diane’s arms. While Jenkins will struggle this week, the aftermath of the story — not to mention, Phyllis’ lies potentially being exposed — could create a domino effect whereby Jack and Diane seal their reunion.

Y&R spoilers for the week of September 5th suggest that Kyle is keeping a secret. What could this be all about? It’s something he’s not only hiding from his family but from Summer as well. There’s a small chance that Kyle could find out about Phyllis’ plan, and not say a thing to anyone. After he caught Diane flirting with Jack, he seemed a tad suspicious of his mom. Would the young Abbott keep a secret for his mother-in-law, especially if she begged him to?

5. Is Chance Really Closing The Ashland Case?

Across town, Y&R spoilers imply that Chance will break a promise to Abby. Did he really close the Ashland case, or was he just saying this to try and nail Victor? It’s so out of character for Chance to cover up anything for anyone, as he’s always been a believer in justice. Will he go back on this vow? How could all of this Victor drama affect his romance with Abby?

4. Will Adam’s Evidence Blow Everything Out Of The Water?

Then again, Adam’s evidence could change everything. Yes, Chance would have to re-open the Ashland case, thus “breaking a promise” to Abby, but if Adam threatens him, does he really have a choice? The original police report coming to the surface could change everything, especially if Adam goes to Chance’s higher-ups about the entire thing.

3. Causing Chaos

Whether Adam blackmails Victor with what he’s found, or he goes to the police or media, this police report changes everything. It will cause issues not only for Chance and Kevin, but Victor, Victoria and Nick. Y&R spoilers for the week of September 5th note that the Moustache will get some terrible news. This is probably linked to the Ashland case. Will the great Victor Newman take a fall for something his “security team” did, or will he find a way out of it?

2. Chance and Abby Hanging By A Thread

If Chance suffers any consequences around his Victor cover-up (on account of Adam’s evidence), this could leave “Chabby” hanging by a thread. This is terrible, as the two were so happy with Dom; yet that was before Victor reared his ugly head into their romance. Can Abby and Chance survive the Newman family drama?

1. Chelsea’s Next Victim…

Chelsea seems to love “taken” men lately. First, it was Rey, then Billy; so could Chance be her next victim? Chance will likely have marital issues very shortly, and he’s about to offer some words of encouragement to Lawson. Will she continue to pursue Abbott, or abandon those thoughts and navigate towards Chance? With all the Newman family drama, his romance will take a hit. And there’s a chance that if she shoots a glance his way, he’ll gladly accept it.
