Jenelle Evans had an emotional reunion with her son Jace when they reunited this past Memorial Day weekend. After a long custody battle with her mother Barbara Evans, Jenelle has reached a happy settlement that allows both guardians to spend time with 7-year-old Jace.
The mother and son had reunited after a long five weeks spent apart. Jenelle revealed to E! News that, “It felt amazing to finally be reunited. He was so happy he didn’t even know what to do first when he got home. I was nervous a little bit because I didn’t want Jace thinking it was me that didn’t want to visit with him, but when he arrived everything was back to the way it used to be.”
Although Jenelle did shed a tear during their reunion, it was solely out of her overwhelming happiness from being reunited with her son. “I did cry but not around anyone except for [her fiancee] David,” Jenelle admits. “I didn’t want any of the kids thinking I was upset. Lots of hugs and kisses were going around all weekend!”
The blissful weekend consisted of Jenelle spending time at the beach and going for hikes with all three of her children and alongside her fiancee’s daughter Maryssa. “Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend,” the Teen Mom 2 star exclaimed in happiness.
