Would you let your toddler paint your handbag? How about a $100,000 designer one?
Kim Kardashian was seen walking around with an Hermes bag — which costs somewhere between $10,000 and $100,000. But Kim’s bag was a custom design by her own paint-splattering daughter, North West.
Apparently, the bag was a gift for Kim’s 34th birthday, and Kim’s one year-old daughter decorated the cream bag with various bright colors of paint. There’s even a big orange handprint right in the middle.
Kim showed off her little tyke’s creation via Instagram, sharing a photo of the bag and writing the caption, “Me & my bae out today. Wearing my favorite bag painted by my little North.”
She explained in an interview: “I had thought it was this new artist who had painted this purse. “[But] it was my daughter. It was amazing.”
We’re guessing it was Kanye’s idea to let North express her creativity on such a luxury canvas. Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised, since Kim already has an expensive custom Brikin bag painted by renowned artist George Condo that Kanye gave her for Christmas.
It’s just another day in the life of a rich celebrity — why should a one year-old paint on paper when she can paint on a super expensive handbag?
