General Hospital Star Sofia Mattsson took to social media this week to share some “BIG things happening” — she’s expecting a baby! And… soon!
“So happy and excited to finally share this (almost ready to pop) bump with everyone,” Mattsson announced on her Instagram, in a caption filled with heart emojis.
Two stunning photos show the actress, dressed in black, with a bump that must’ve been difficult to conceal until now!

“Kept it a secret for a while to not spoil anything for GH viewers,” she explained.
Not only is this a special time for Mattsson personally, it’s a memorable period professionally, as the actress gets to explore her new experiences alongside her character of three years, Sasha.
“Now that Miss Sasha Gilmore’s pregnancy is in full force, I can finally share that I’m so grateful to be sharing this pregnancy journey with her!”
It’ll be heartwarming for GH fans to see this authentic baby bump grow as Sasha and Brando’s storyline develops. (According to spoilers, these soon-to-be parents might have to dodge some Cyrus-related trouble first.) Currently no fixed date for Mattsson’s maternity leave has been shared.
This will be Mattsson’s first child.
