9 Celebrities Who Totally Upgraded After A Breakup

Sometimes celebrities choose partners who are just so not on their level both physically and professionally, which is fine – it’s their choice. When they break up though, some of them decide to step up their game and finally date someone on their own level. Here are 9 celebrities who totally upgraded after a breakup:

9. Liam Hemsworth

A day after it was confirmed that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus were dunzo, he was spotted kissing Eiza Gonzalez, a super hot Mexican singer-actress. This can’t possibly have been good for Miley’s self-esteem. Liam moved on quickly and he chose someone who was much, much sexier.

8. Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom did seem like the perfect couple – initially; however, his drug problem and his womanizing made him anything but the perfect partner. After breaking up with Lamar and moving on to French Montana, many were left scratching their heads. He just wasn’t an upgrade. James Harden, however, totally is. Unlike Lamar, he is drama free!

7. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has dated a series of duds from John Mayer to Harry Styles. Now that she’s shacking up with the super hot Calvin Harris, we think she’s finally making some good romantic decisions. Have you seen his abs? He’s a total upgrade!

6. Kim Kardashian

When Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries walked down the aisle back in 2011, it seemed as though she was just desperate to get married – to anyone – and Kris just came along at the right time. No one was that disappointed when she filed for divorce after only 72 days. When she started dating Kanye West, he seemed like an obvious improvement.

5. Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed’s relationship with Paul McDonald took everyone by surprise. She was super famous and he really wasn’t. When they suddenly split a couple of years ago, no one was expecting her to rebound with Ian Somerhalder, who is in a totally different league both physically and professionally than her ex Paul. We think she totally scored with Ian and should hold onto that for as long as humanly possible.

4. Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock has made some pretty questionable decisions when it comes to men. Jesse James was one of them. She’s totally redeemed herself though – in our eyes at least – with Bryan Randall. He’s a hot commodity, unlike her ex.

3. Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is another actress who has made some questionable romantic decisions. Billy Bob Thornton was not in her league, but she married him and then quickly divorced him after a few years. A couple of years later, when she hooked up with Brad Pitt, the world went ballistic – she was finally dating a guy who was on her level both in terms of attractiveness and career.

2. Sofia Vergara

There was always something a little creepy about Nick Loeb and now that he’s suing Sofia Vergara for custody of their frozen embryos, it’s all starting to make sense. Since breaking up with Nick, Sofia’s been doing quite well – romantically. She upgraded with Joe Manganiello, one of TV’s hottest studs.

1. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani

Before Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani hooked up, he was married to Miranda Lambert and she was married to Gavin Rossdale. When both of their marriages ended this summer, it seemed inevitable that Blake and Gwen – who were really flirty on The Voice – would hook up. Now that they have, it’s easy to say that this is a step up – for both of them.
