Kanye West has always been outspoken about the fact that he had feelings for Kim Kardashian before they began dating — but Kim has revealed that she is the one who intiiated the relationship.
In a new interview with Access Hollywood, the 34 year-old reality star said that she chased Kanye after she got divorced from Kris Humphries in 2011.
“I think it was six months after I was newly single in like 2012, I was like why not? Like, what am I waiting for?'” Kim explained.
She continued: “I thought he was going to call me as soon as he knew that I was single again. He didn’t, and so I called him and I said, ‘Hello? I thought you were at least going to call me and say I told you so, something?’
Luckily, once Kim made the phone call, Kanye took the next step in asking her out. “He’s always been a good friend to me, like, we’ve always been there for each other – then he invited me to a fashion show of his in Paris and I went, and then the magic happened,” Kim said.
She also admitted that she was reluctant to jump into another relationship so quickly after her marriage didn’t work out, but decided to give Kanye a chance.
“In my head I was like, “You know what? Screw it. Like, this is probably what I’ve been waiting for, it’s been in front of my face.'”
Perhaps there’s a lesson for us here, ladies!
