The season premiere of Teen Mom 2 aired on Monday, July 17 and MTV wasted no time in welcoming DeJesus onto the set in a dramatic debut. Longtime Teen Mom 2 cast member Jenelle Evans had an explosive fight with her boyfriend David Eason while Chelsea Houska radiated optimism and gave birth to her second child. Kailyn Lowry is newly single and announced that her marriage to Javi Marroquin is officially over. They both seemed remorseful over the situation but knew it was the right thing to do. Lowry admitted she had a new man in her life, but nothing was solid enough to bring the relationship to television.
Leah Calvert decided to go back to school at West Virginia University and admitted she was both excited and stressed over her return. Her children also revealed their sadness to have to share time between two parents. “Mommy, I’m sad that Ali gets to go with her dad and I don’t get my dad,” her daughter Addie told Leah.
Jenelle Evans is pregnant with her third child, but her pregnancy seems far from smooth sailing. Evans is still upset her mother has custody of her first son Jace and the stress of this situation led to a lot of fighting with her boyfriend David. Their final argument ended with Jenelle taking her child and leaving for a hotel while sobbing. “Now I’m in a hotel parking lot with my son alone. I don’t have a friend, I don’t have a boyfriend, I don’t have f–king no one,” she sobbed. “In the end, I’m always alone.”
Chelsea Houska brought some light to the episode as her and her husband Cole DeBoer welcome their new baby, Watson. Chelsea is thrilled to take on parenting with her husband and the couple seemed extremely happy. “This baby is really lucky,” Chelsea gushed about her husband.
In the most anticipated moment of the premiere episode, newbie Briana DeJesus joined the Teen Mom 2 crew in a dramatic entrance. DeJesus admit she is pregnant with the baby of a 31-year old man she met at a bar and has only known for about a month. “When I first found out, I was like ‘Well, we don’t really know each other, maybe it’s best if I get an abortion,’” she admitted, but has since changed her mind and believes Luis will step up to the plate.
Briana’s trust in Luis may have been the wrong decision because later in the episode a friend broke news that he might be sleeping with another woman. Briana decided to text the other woman, but fans were left in the dark about whether the encounter was successful.
