Lindsey Pearlman, who was featured on General Hospital (GH) as well as several prime time shows, has passed away. She was 43 years old.

Los Angeles Police Department officers found the former GH actress deceased on Friday, February 18th. Her family had reported her missing days earlier.

“The cause of death will be determined by the coroner,” the LAPD said in a statement. Pearlman’s body had been found in Runyon Canyon Park, a local hiking spot.

“The police found Lindsey. She’s gone. I’m broken,” Pearlman’s husband, Vance Smith, wrote on Instagram in a since-deleted post, according to Soap Opera Network

“I will share more later,” Smith added. “I wanted to [sic] thank you to everyone for their love and efforts and ask you to respect the privacy of her family at this time.”

GH viewers will remember Pearlman as Margaret “Maggie” McMorris, who tended a bar in Brooklyn, NY. She shared scenes with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Mike Corbin (Max Gail) during a storyline in January 2020.

While the role was a recurring one, GH executive producer Frank Valentini remembers the actress fondly.

“Lindsey Pearlman was terrific on General Hospital and we are saddened to hear of this tragedy,” Valentini tweeted. “Our hearts go out to her family and friends.”

Pearlman’s credits include appearances on American Housewife, Chicago Justice, Empire and Selena: The Series
