Some fans mistook Courteney Cox for reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner after an Instagram post by David Spade went viral, and the actress couldn’t help but hilariously respond to the comments in her own humorous way.
Last week, it all started when David Spade posted a photo on Instagram featuring himself, the former Friends star, and The Bachelor‘s Nick Viall. After sharing the photo, multiple Instagram followers left comments on the Lights Out with David Spade host’s post, noting how they thought Cox was actually Jenner.
After Cox saw the comments, she addressed her resemblance in an Instagram post of her own, which she posted over the weekend.
“@davidspade posted this pic, now I really didn’t think I looked like myself but this was surprising….” Cox captioned the photo of the group shared by Spade.
She also shared a screenshot of some of the comments left on Spade’s post.
“Thought it was Kaitlin Jenner,” wrote a user.
“Bruh I thought that was Caitlin Jenner,” wrote one account.
“Totally thought Courteney was Caitlyn Jenner,” said another.
Next, she shared a side-by-side comparison photo of herself with Jenner, who both have their hair styled down and whose faces stare similarly into the camera.
“Alright … I can see it,” Cox admitted in overlaying text on the image.
As of now, Cox’s post has collected almost 1 million likes. Her former Friends costar Jennifer Aniston also commented on the post sharing two laughing crying face emojis.
“You’re hilarious. Oh my GOD I love you ❤️,” Aniston commented.
