On Monday, March 2 the very next Bachelorette will be announced on Good Morning America, but thanks to Reality Steve we already know who the next woman searching for love will be…and it might surprise you!

Reality Steve already revealed that there was a short-list of frontrunners to be The Bachelorette following Peter’s nearly completed season of The Bachelor. Names like Weber’s fourth place contestant Kelsey Weir and even Hannah Brown have been thrown around as the next Bachelorette. Hannah Brown was even the top choice, but apparently Brown and ABC couldn’t reach an agreement on money, so the season 16 Bachelorette for 2020 is….Clare Crawley!

For those wondering who Clare Crawley is, she was the runner-up on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor, and also appeared on seasons one and two of Bachelor in Paradise and also appeared on The Bachelor: Winter Games!

“(BACHELORETTE SPOILER): Monday morning on GMA, Clare Crawley will be named the “Bachelorette.” As a refresher, she finsished 2nd on Juan Pablo’s season, was on BIP 1 & 2, and was recently on Winter Games. Refer back to my thoughts Thursday as to why I could see this decision,” Reality Steve tweeted on Saturday, February 29.

While it might seem like a very random choice for the Bachelorette, this isn’t the first time ABC has surprised fans with an unexpected pick. Back in 2018, they announced Arie Luyendyk Jr. as the Bachelor after appearing on season 8 of The Bachelorette six years earlier.

“Here’s my opinion on Clare IF she does end up being the “Bachelorette.” Yes, it’s random. And yes, she’s not on anyone’s radar really. But 1) that gives them major shock value 2) gives them some1 older and 3) it kinda puts her as a combination of being the female Arie & Nick,” Reality Steve shared on Feb. 27 when Clare’s name was first mentioned about potentially being the Bachelorette.

“Arie came out of nowhere. He hadn’t even been on Bachelor programming for 5 years. It’s only been 2 for Clare since Winter Games. And Clare has had chances, just like Nick did multiple times, that for whatever reason didn’t work. Would it still surprise me? Absolutely,” he added. “This show is all about who has a story they can sell to their audience. And Clare no doubt has a story. Not saying it’s any better or worse than someone else’s story. I’m just saying I can see where they’re going if it does end up being her.”

Of course, Clare’s age will be a point of interest on the season as she is 38 years old.

Reality Steve also revealed that most of the contestants have already been cast for the season and tweeted, “For what it’s worth, I have 10 guys that I’m pretty sure are cast to be on the “Bachelorette,” and only one of them is in their 30s – and he just turned 30 recently. Might mean something, might mean nothing.”

So there you have it Bachelor Nation fans, Clare Crawley, 38, will once again be searching for love as the season 16 Bachelorette.

Bachelorette season 16 is expected to start in late to mid-May following the very first season of The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart.
