Vanessa Bryant shared two new, heartbreaking tributes to her late husband, basketball legend Kobe Bryant and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
Kobe and Gianna were two our of nine people who passed away in the tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on January 26.
Amidst the widespread grief and coverage of her late husband and daughter’s passing, Vanessa has remained out of the public eye, but on Wednesday, she took to Instagram to share a touching tribute to Kobe and Gianna.
“#mybestfriend #theBestdaddy Miss you so much. #handsome #sweet #funny #silly #lovinghusband ❤️Miss you saying, “Bonjourno principessa/reina,” she captioned the photo of Kobe.
She also posted two sweet tributes about Gianna on her Instagram the same day.
“My Gianna. God I miss you. I’ve been so lucky to have woken up to see your gorgeous face and amazing smile for 13 years. Wish it would’ve been until my last breath. Mommy loves you to the moon and back. Infinity plus 1. #2 #Mambacita #GigiBryant,” she captioned the first post.
“My Gigi. I love you! I miss you,” Vanessa wrote in her second tribute. “You’ve taught us all that no act of kindness is ever too small. Mommy is still and will ALWAYS be so proud of you mamacita. ❤️#2 🏀”
Kobe’s wife has expressed her gratitude for the outpouring love and support from everyone all over the world. “I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved,” Vanessa shared on Instagram days following the tragic accident. “We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.”
Vanessa and Kobe were together for 21 years, and married two years after they first met in 1991. As a couple, they welcomed four daughters: Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri.
