Teen Mom OG star Tyler Baltierra has never been one to shy away from responding to followers on social media, both the good and the bad, and it isn’t surprising he had something to say after some internet trolls began criticizing his one-month-old daughter, Vaeda Luma Baltierra.
On Tuesday, March 19 the 27-year-old shared a brand new photo of the newborn who he welcomed with wife Catelynn, writing, “Vaeda is a month old this week & idk how it’s possible, but she keeps getting cuter! 😍❤️” alongside the adorable photo.
Catelynn also shared multiple photos of Vaeda on Wednesday, writing, “I’m obsessed and so is Novalee! #loveher #mygirls #vaeda #novalee #momofgirls.”
While many loved the adorable new photos of the baby girl, Tyler revealed that some felt it necessary to leave “ridiculously asinine comments” about his daughter.
“Wow. I’m actually just appalled at the ridiculously asinine comments about my newborn. We live in a world that is so divided, judgmental, self righteous & opinionated…& unfortunately it’s very evident with these comments,” Tyler clapped back in a comment.
“Respectful MATURITY is having a strong opinion & voicing it when necessary. Disrespectful IMMATURITY is having a strong opinion & voicing it when it is NOT NECESSARY. Your deity knows all of your thoughts…but evil can only hear what comes out of your mouth,” he continued.
“Live with love & speak with peace,” he concluded, “or karma is not going to be your ally, I can guarantee that!”
He wrote “WHERE IS ALL THE LOVE PEOPLE!” underneath his words.
Meanwhile Catelynn took some of the criticism in stride and jokingly wrote, “Sorry babe I totally cheated and Vaedas not urs. #peoplearecrazy #comeon”
The Teen Mom OG couple have been together for 13 years and fans have been following their story for nearly a decade after the pair appeared on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant back in 2009 where at 16 they welcomed their first daughter Carly and placed her for adoption. They later welcomed their second daughter Novalee Reign in early 2015 before welcoming Vaeda on Thursday, February 21 this year.
The couple were going through a 30-day separation while Catelynn was pregnant after revealing the pregnancy was a complete surprise because they were not trying and had suffered a miscarriage the year before.
“The big news is that we are expecting our rainbow baby. This baby is our rainbow after the storm. I’m super excited,” Lowell told Us Weekly. “It was a huge shock at first. We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness.”
She added: “We were going to wait a really long time. We were using protection and everything and still got pregnant. This baby just wanted to be here. It was very unexpected.”
Tyler’s response comes a few weeks after he also responded to fans who criticized him for selling baby Vaeda’s newborn photos to The Hollywood Gossip. “OH ABSOLUTELY & I have ZERO shame about it!,” he began his response. “The fact that all my children’s college tuitions are paid for & they have their trust funds that will create more opportunities as adults, that neither I or Cate could have ever dreamed of as kids, makes it all worth it! The only “clickbait” articles we ever share are for one reason…our children! Every cent earned goes to their accounts. We chose this life on TV, not the kids. So I want their innocence & lack of control in that decision to be rewarded or at least warranted. I am their father & my job is to provide for them & set them up for the best possible future I can. So if being “ridiculous” is what provides that for them, then so be it! I’ll be as ridiculous as I need to be and never feel any shame about it!” he concluded.
