Lisa Marie Presley is paying tribute to her late son Benjamin on what would have been his 28th birthday.
Benjamin passed just a few months ago on July 12. On Wednesday, Presley shared a photo of Benjamin from a previous birthday celebration alongside a heartbreaking message addressed to her son.
“My beautiful beautiful angel, I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven,” Presley wrote on her Instagram. “My heart and soul went with you.”
“The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day,” she continued in the caption. “I will never be the same.”
“Please wait for me my love, and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley. I know you would want that,” she shared. She concluded the heartbreaking message with a final note, “Happy Birthday my sweet sweet Boy. You were much too good for this world.”
Benjamin’s sister Riley also honored her late brother by sharing an Instagram slideshow, which included throwback photos from their childhood and a photo of the two of them at her 2015 wedding. “Happy Birthday beautiful angel,” Riley wrote in the caption.
