Last year saw a TV’s revival craze like never before with Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life, and given the shocking ending it provided, fans have been wondering if that meant they intentionally left the door open to bring back the series once again.
Now, it seems the Gilmore women may be headed back to Stars Hollow as Netflix boss Ted Sarandos reportedly told the UK Press Association that the company is hoping for more Gilmore Girls and right now he is in “very preliminary” talks with the show’s creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino.
“We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped. The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”
Meanwhile the stars of the series seem to continually be on board with reprising their beloved characters as long as it is done in the proper way and the fans are happy. “We’re all just grateful we got a chance to do this. It really is about telling a good story for us. Just to keep doing more for the sake of it probably just wouldn’t feel satisfying for anybody. We just want to make sure we’re doing it for a really great reason,” Alexis Bledel said.
