Bristol Palin is going to be joining the cast of Teen Mom OG! Multiple sources have confirmed this to US Weekly, TMZ and Variety; however, Bristol and MTV have yet to comment on the news.

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant was just 17 years old when she gave birth to her first son, Tripp, in 2008 and her pregnancy made headlines around the world, as Sarah Palin was running for vice president of the United States at the time alongside presidential nominee John McCain.

Bristol has since welcomed two more children, daughters Sailor and Atlee, who she shares with her estranged husband Dakota Meyer. The couple were married in 2016 and Meyer filed for divorce in February 2018, citing “discord or conflict of personalities” as the reason for the split in court documents.

In spite of the breakup, the couple still seems to get along, as they often post family photographs in their respective social media accounts.

Bristol’s casting comes after MTV severed all ties with former Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham. She reportedly had a falling out with executive producer Morgan J. Freeman because of her involvement in the adult film industry.

This won’t be Bristol’s first reality TV show. In 2010, she starred in her mother’s TLC series Sarah Palin’s Alaska and in 2012 she had her own Lifetime series Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp, which lasted for one season.
