11 Celebrities Reveal Their Worst Fears and Phobias!

Just because celebrities play superheroes doesn’t mean that they are superheroes. In fact, celebrities are just like us – they have fears and phobias and some of them will definitely shock you!  These 11 stars have openly shared what creeps them out and some of it is common but other stuff is pretty weird.  Check it out!

11. Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson doesn’t have just one fear! In fact, she has two: Birds and cockroaches. “I’m only scared of birds. Something about wings and beaks and the flapping. I’m terrified of them,” Johansson told “Vulture.” She also discussed her fear of cockroaches. “I cannot stand cockroaches. That’s one thing I absolutely couldn’t do. But that’s not really an animal, is it? It’s an insect.” A pretty creepy insect too!

10. Britney Spears

Britney Spears is afraid of large reptiles and other lizards, which is kind of ironic since, in her most iconic performance, she actually performed with a live python. Turns out that Spears is extremely uncomfortable at the thought of a Komodo dragon!

9. Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman is afraid of butterflies. Yes, butterflies. And she has had this fear since she was a child. “I have tried to get over it (the phobia). I walked into the big butterfly cage at the American Museum of Natural History and had the butterflies on me, but that didn’t work.”

8. Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra is terrified of spiders. “I was just recently shooting a thriller in the Florida Keys, in the woods, and after almost a whole day of work the director said, ‘Maybe I should walk you through the spiders that are out here.’ I said, ‘What?! What spiders?’ He goes, ‘Ok, there are these little ones, don’t worry about them. Then there’s these big furry ones that look like tarantulas, they look scarier than they are. And then there’s the brown recluse… that literally eat flesh.’ And I was so scared. That is my biggest phobia.” We’d be scared too!

7. Megan Fox

Megan Fox is afraid of the dark and she has some strange issues with paper. “I’ve been afraid of the dark all my life,” she explained. “I leave the lights on all the time and if the light is off, I have to run across the room to get to the switch.” Sounds pretty standard, but Fox’s issue with paper comes off as a little neurotic. “Some people don’t like nails across a chalkboard because it gives them goosebumps,” she said. “I don’t like dry paper. Scripts, newspapers or anything that’s not laminated, I have to keep licking my fingers.”

6. Keanu Reeves

We are beginning to think that Keanu Reeves might sleep with a night-light, as the actor has admitted that he is afraid of the dark! But don’t worry, according to Reeves, he meant that in “a real philosophical way.” Sounds pretty deep and complex to us!

5. David Beckham

David Beckham has a fear of untidiness. “Everything has to match in the house,” Victoria Beckham told People magazine. “If there are three cans of Diet Coke, he’d throw one away rather than having three because it’s uneven.” They must have the neatest house in Hollywood! Sounds more like OCD than a fear to us.

4. Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren has some interesting issues with the phone! In fact, she is so scared of phones that she avoids answering calls and returning them. “I’m very frightened of the phone. It just makes me so nervous. I will always avoid picking it up if I can. The invention of the answering machine was amazing.” If she dislikes answering the phone and returning calls, we wonder how her agent gets in touch with her…

3. Johnny Depp

We presume that Johnny Depp has not seen the movie “It,” as it totally would have fed his fear of clowns! “There always seemed to be a darkness lurking just under the surface, a potential for real evil.” Personally, we think his Willy Wonka character was a little more frightening than a clown.

2. Sean “Diddy” Combs

Sean “Diddy” Combs has a rather unusual phobia – he is frightened by toes! “I have this foot thing… I really fear a long second toe,” Combs told Jay Leno. He even takes it one step further. “I somehow get to see the toe on the first date – it’s mandatory. I may not go for a kiss, but I’m definitely going to see if that second toe is long.” We guess ladies with a long second toe won’t make it to the second date!

1. Woody Allen

When it comes to fears and phobias, Woody Allen is afraid of, well, everything and we aren’t exaggerating! He is afraid of heights, enclosed spaces and insects and it doesn’t end there. Allen is so neurotic that having a drain in the middle of a bathtub inspires a deathly fear. His other phobias include stage fright, sunshine, children, hotel bathrooms, cancer and other diseases, crowds and small rooms. Yikes!
