Robyn Griggs, who was best known for her roles in One Life To Live and Another World, has passed away. She was 49 years old.

The tragic news was shared on the Facebook account where the actress had regularly posted updates on her health.

“With a heavy heart, I am saddened to announce Robyn’s passing,” the Facebook post stated. “However, she is no longer suffering and would want us to remember that and the good memories.”

For soap opera fans, those memories will include Griggs’ portrayal of Stephanie Hobart on One Life To Live. A year later, she turned heads as Maggie Cory in Another World

In addition to her daytime television career, Griggs appeared in Severe Injuries, The Absence Of Light and Slashers Gone Wild!

“I will never forget how open she was to telling her story, and accepting of me helping her tell it,” the post continued. “She wanted to help people and spread the word of her story to do it. I was honored to do so.”

Over Facebook, Griggs had previously revealed her diagnosis with cervical cancer in 2020. Earlier this summer, the actress shared that she had four new tumors.

In a post on August 11th, Robyn’s father relayed the news that Griggs would enter hospice care. “She has fought with determination, strength, and grace that is nothing short of inspirational,” the post added.

News of Griggs’s passing arrives mere days after Anne Heche — another Another World alum — was taken off life support.
