In contrary to his refusal to admit he has a problem on the set of Teen Mom: OG, Ryan Edwards has gotten the help he needed and has addressed his time in rehab.
Edwards previously struggled with substance abuse issues and made a statement to Us Weekly revealing the progress he’s made since filming the finale of Teen Mom: OG. “A little over 30 days ago, I made the decision to check myself into a rehabilitation facility. I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better,” he stated. Edwards also expressed his gratitude for the support he has received by stating, “Without the support of my wife and parents I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes.”
The reveal of Edwards’ release from rehab comes directly after the Teen Mom: OG finale where multiple loved ones express their concerns over Ryan’s substance addiction. His wife Mackenzie Standifer accused him of driving while under the influence of Xanax, while his ex Maci Bookout expressed her similar concerns for Ryan’s well being.
Edwards checked into a treatment center after marrying Standifer on May 15. In attendance at the wedding was the couple’s respective parents, but Edwards’ son Bentley was not present.
