Last year was marked by the tragedy surrounding 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown. Although she passed away last July, nearly six months after she was found unconscious and unresponsive in a bathtub in her home in Atlanta.

While she remained comatose in the hospital, questions and rumors swirled about what happened, and many pointed the finger at her longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon who had reportedly been abusive in the past, while others wondered if it was self-inflicted.

On Friday, March 4, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office released a statement stating that Brown’s cause of death was drowning, as well as drug intoxication, while later today they are expected to unseal her full autopsy results to shed light more clearly on what happened leading to her death. Meanwhile, Gordon is still in a legal battle with the Brown family who filed a wrongful death lawsuit claiming that Bobbi Kristina “died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon)” and “he injected her with a toxic mixture.” Gordon has denied any part in her death and has stated he feels “dehumanized by the fictitious allegations.”
