When Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their mutual split last week, there was a hint of social sympathy offered. We all knew that probably wouldn’t last long. A lot of people claim to loathe Gwyneth Paltrow, for reasons unbeknownst to those of us who don’t. Still, when she used the words “conscious uncoupling,” she was throwing figurative gasoline on a fire, and you could just feel that the small dose of Gwyneth would soon become an overdose.

Yes, she’s made matters worse. She recently made a statement suggesting that working as an actress on movie sets is more difficult than having a regular 9-5 as a mom. Fortunately, we at Fame10 can vouch for both sides of this argument, and lay it out in plain-speak for you wonderful readers.

Is being an actress more difficult than a 9-5? That statement is loaded, relative and should be considered in context. The most difficult thing for moms working on that side of the camera is that they’ll go days without getting any quality time with their children. This is especially true on location shoots. But is any job easier than another? Nah. Aren’t all jobs stressful? Yeah.

It’s easy to credit a mother who is a physician, and often on call at a local hospital, is trumping an actress who was on set for 18 hours. Albeit, being on set for 18 hours is about as enjoyable as it sounds–it does really suck when it’s the norm for weeks at a time.

But, why Gwyneth? Why? Is it a ploy to keep people coming back to Goop? You must dust the Interwebs with a little controversy from time to time?

Regardless, the Twitter hate exploded after her most recent statement, and you can see what the Gwyneth opponents had to say in the video below.
