10 Celebrities Who Need A Serious Attitude Adjustment

Celebrities are forever in the spotlight. Constant attention can be understandably frustrating and even upsetting at times. However, some celebrities handle publicity and lack of privacy with grace and respectful attitudes toward others. The following celebrities have taken the opposite approach. These are the celebrities infamous for poor attitudes, unfathomably obnoxious interviews, and irredeemable bad behavior.

10. Kristen Stewart

The “Twilight” star may have a devoted fan following but she is known for being distant and stone-faced at publicity events and during interviews. Stewart has gained a bad reputation for her openly resentful attitude toward the media which has led to her shocking comments in Elle magazine where she equates media attention with a violent sexual crime: “What you don’t see are the cameras shoved in my face… The photos are so … I feel like I’m looking at someone being raped.” Quite a melodramatic comparison for someone so unwilling to express even a modicum of emotion.

9. Katherine Heigl

With the success of Grey’s Anatomy and “Knocked Up”, Heigl was on the verge of superstardom… until she opened her mouth. Declaring in interviews that “Knocked Up” was “sexist” and the Grey’s writing staff was mediocre, Heigl has made some enemies. She told Parade in 2010, “There are some things that, if you say them out loud, will hurt the other person’s feelings. I tend to say them anyway. It’s better to be honest.” Yes, honesty is best. There’s no need to by considerate or tactful, Katherine.

8. Shia LeBeouf

LeBeouf has decided to bite the hand that feeds him on more than one occasion, skewering his own films and burning bridges with big directors. “There are a lot of people that liked the second [Transformers film], but I hated it,” LeBeouf told FHM. He has also gone on to blast Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg for their part in bad movies he has starred in.

7. Bruce Willis

Willis has recently done several interviews where he has become combative and rude with interviewers. During a radio interview, Willis lashed out at the interviewer saying, “Has any actor ever told you this, Jamie? This part is not acting… we’re just selling the film now. Sales. The fun part was making the movie.” Maybe Willis should work harder to get people to go see these movies if they were such fun.

6. Lindsay Lohan

Lohan’s antics are well-known. She shows up late or not at all, she’s demanding, ill-prepared, and in constant trouble with the law. “Hopefully people know me for my work – not my car accidents,” she said, unapologetic for her behavior, during an interview with Piers Morgan. Unfortunately, the accidents are more entertaining than her movies.

5. Christina Aguilera

The people who like Christina Aguilera the least seem to be other celebrities. Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, and Kelly Osbourne have all spoken publicly about Aguilera’s attitude. This quote may justify the dislike by her peers: “All I really want to do is be normal. But really, it’s other people who won’t let me be that way,” (People). Aguilera is known for her selfish comments and overall rude demeanour, including towards contestants on her own show, The Voice.

4. Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin’s rants have become commonplace in social media these days but nothing was more shocking than the leaked voicemail where he called his then 12-year-old daughter a “pig.” Recent Twitter messages have Baldwin using gay slurs and violent threats toward people. He has called his most recent target a “pockmarked toady.” Perhaps Baldwin should try taking the high road once in a while.

3. Chris Brown

Chris Brown’s domestic abuse conviction for the assault on Rihanna was shocking. Almost as shocking was when the remorseless, unrepentant Brown was interviewed on Good Morning America. When asked about his past, Brown stated “It’s not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I’m past that in my life.” Brown later smashed a dressing room window, went on a Twitter rant and was most recently arrested for felony assault following a nightclub brawl. Good way to show he changed his violent ways.

2. Gwyneth Paltrow

Paltrow exists in a rarified realm of her own self importance. She is completely out of touch with the public and her elitist advice on her website has offended many. Here’s one gem: “I am who I am. I can’t pretend to be somebody who makes $25,000 a year,” (Elle UK). Maybe not, Gwyneth, but you don’t need to rub it in.

1. Kanye West

“I am God’s vessel. But my greatest pain in life is that I will never be able to see myself perform live.” (VH1Storytellers)

“I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book’s autograph.” (Reuters)

“And the thing is, for me to say I wasn’t a genius, I would just be lying to you and to myself.” (Jimmy Kimmel Live)

What more is there to say?
