The entire Chapman family is mourning after the passing of beloved Dog the Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman on Wednesday, June 26.
Beth Chapman passed away at 51 after a two year battle with throat and lung cancer, and after her passing, her daughter Bonnie was disturbed by the amount of negative comments said about her late mother.
Bonnie Chapman, 20, fired back at the “internet trolls” in a Tweet, writing, “For those talking shit about my mother after her death, shame on you. My mother was a person and doesn’t deserve to be degraded because of ANY of her or my father’s past. My mother fought for women’s rights and was the kindest woman.”
Bonnie also took to Twitter to share thoughts after her mother’s passing, writing, “Love you forever mom. You’ve got a halo now,” alongside her father, Duane “Dog” Chapman’s tweet that Beth had passed away.
She also wrote, “I’ll never forget you, mama. You were such a strong woman, and you taught me to always be strong. You were strong for everyone, and you taught me it’s okay to let go.”
Bonnie also shared a sweet photo of her parents and wrote, “So thankful I got your beautiful smile.” She followed with another emotional Tweet, writing, “I’d never thought I’d lose my mom at 20. I told her I thought she had a couple years left, but in her eyes she disagreed.”
Duane “Dog” Chapman spoke out to HawaiiNewsNow after Beth’s passing, recalling her final moments and talking about her courageous battle with cancer.
Duane Chapman, 66, confirmed his wife’s passing in a Tweet, sharing, “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”
A rep for the Chapmans also said in a statement: “Beth died at 5:32 this morning, the same time she would wake up to go hiking Koko Head. The exact same time. She was surrounded by family and Dog was there, holding her hand.”
