B&B’s Ashley Jones Wants More Bridget: “She’s A Central Character”

Viewers frequently wonder where Bridget Forrester is on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) – and Ashley Jones is one of them!

Much like her B&B co-star Heather Tom (Katie), Jones has used her performing credits as a launching pad for directorial efforts. But that doesn’t mean she’s left the fashion soap behind.

“If something came up, I would have to really consider it,” she admitted to Soaps.com during a recent interview. “I would 100% probably want to do it.”

While the actress is happy “getting to play these little arcs” on the CBS soap, she acknowledged that the option to return to B&B on a full-time basis would be very tempting.

“Good grief, I would be so lucky if I got to talk to you again and tell you the decision I had to make, if that opportunity presented itself!” Jones added.

The director, who recently completed The Secret Lives of College Escorts, recognizes that such an opportunity would require careful scheduling, but she thinks Bridget Forrester deserves more screen-time.

“There’s a lot of story left to tell,” Jones explained. “Bridget is Eric Forrester and Brooke Forrester – she’s their daughter, she’s a central character.”

Another factor pushing Jones to advocate for her character is the fact that B&B is very much a home away from home, where the actress learned her craft.

“I feel like I kind of grew up with [Bridget], and so it’s in that studio… and the Bell family,” she admitted. “They are such a part of my heart and my career that I would always, always want to go back if they have something.”
