Bachelor In Paradise alum Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk are expecting their first child!
The couple sat down with PEOPLE to discuss their exciting next chapter. Gates and Gottschalk are expecting their first child to be born in January.
“It’s so exciting,” Gates gushed. “We found out right after the wedding. I’ve wanted to be a mom for a long time. And I always imagined creating a family with someone I love so much. And expanding my love with Adam into a human, I can’t even imagine!”
Gates also opened up about how she’s been feeling and shared that she hasn’t experienced any nausea, but she has had “some food aversions.” She added that “the lack of energy is probably what I’ve struggled with the most. It’s tough.”
Gottschallk also opened up about his excitement over the new addition to their family. “It’s all great and I’m excited, but I’m also glad the baby doesn’t come right away,” he said jokingly. “I have nine months to get ready!”
Fans will remember that Gates was first seen on The Bachelor season 21 where she placed second. She then continued her journey on the franchise by appearing on season 13 of The Bachelorette. She then appeared on Bachelor In Paradise season 4 where she met and fell in love with Gottschalk. The couple officially tied the knot on April 16, 2021.
