Fans know Savannah Chrisley from her family’s reality show Chrisley Knows Best, but there’s so much about the reality star that people don’t know. From her relationships to her side projects to her one famous feud, check out these 12 things you didn’t know about the rising star, Savannah Chrisley:
In 2015, Savannah competed in Miss Tennessee Teen USA and took home the crown. She was one gracious winner and had nothing but praise for her fellow contestants. “It was such a blessing to be able to compete with such amazing girls this weekend!! Any one of these girls could have won the crown!” she wrote on Instagram.
While she won Miss Tennessee Teen USA, when she competed in Miss Teen USA the following year, she was not as lucky. She made it to the semi-finals but was eliminated before the top 5. Even though she didn’t take home the crown, she did make a good friend — Miss Nevada. “And this is a friendship that will last a lifetime…I may have not taken home the crown but I sure did take home one heck of a friend!!” she wrote on Instagram.
The reality starlet initially enrolled at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, but then transferred to Belmont College, which is also in Nashville. She made the switch because she was interested in exploring the music business program that Belmont College offered.
Savannah dated country star Blaire Hanks for two years. She announced their breakup in a Facebook Live video in January 2017. “It hurts, it does because for me he was that definition of just my first true love and I’m trying to stay strong y’all,” she said “I hope that you will please do me a favor and don’t send negative vibes to him. He doesn’t deserve that. We are young. We had our young love. It wasn’t my fault. It wasn’t his fault. There were faults on both sides.”
Savannah launched a clothing line with the Home Shopping Network (HSN) in July 2017 called Faith Over Fear. She was only 19 at the time! The clothing line included loose-fitting slogan tees, distressed denim and shoulder-baring cutout tops. According to the budding fashion designer, her goal was to create a modest but trendy clothing for all ages. “I feel like so many people, especially my generation and younger, we let our fear consume us so much that we just don’t purse our dreams,” she said of her fashion line. “So for me, [I] let my faith be bigger than my fear of something not happening. That’s my reasoning: I’m going to let my faith I have in this project be so much bigger than the fear I have in it not working out that I’m just gonna let it succeed.”
In January 2017, the Chrisley Knows Best star was in a serious car accident, which left her with a broken vertebra. According to her, the accident happened after her floor mat got stuck behind one of the pedals and she slammed into a guardrail. “I got in a car accident early Monday morning because my floor mat had gotten stuck behind my pedals so I looked down for a brief second to try and get it out of the way and then I realized that I was headed straight towards the guardrails….I tried to over correct but it didn’t help. As soon as I hit the guardrail my airbags came out and because of the airbags and seatbelt the injuries weren’t near as bad as they could have been,” she wrote on Instagram.
The reality TV starlet briefly dated NBA player Luke Kennard in 2017. The couple broke up after just four months of dating and her statement following the split seemed to indicate that Kennard did something wrong.“The last 4 months I’ve been dating Like have been great but as a young woman of faith I made the decision that with where Luke and I both are in our careers, it was best to part as friends rather than deal with the pressures of wondering if you are the only one,” Savannah said in a statement. “I was brought up to know my worth. I’m 20 now and so excited to live my life as beautifully as God intended. I will forever love the Kennard family.”
One of Savannah’s good friends is country singer RaeLynn. These two are so close that Savannah joined RaeLynn on a few stops of her tour with Cole Swindell in October 2017. The two documented the good time they had together on social media.
In January 2018, the Chrisley Knows Best star announced to the world via Instagram that she was dating NHL player Nic Kerdiles. While Savannah’s father has been a tough critic of some of her relationships in the past, Todd totally approves of Nic and so does her brother Chase.
Savannah and her boyfriend Nic Kerdiles starred in country singer Matt Stell’s music video for his single “Prayed for You” in July 2018. “I fell in love with this song when I heard it,” Savannah told People. “My generation looks for their person in all the wrong ways. ‘Prayed for You’ is a song that explains how if you focus on the right thing, then the right thing will come along.”
In October 2018, it was announced that Savannah and her brother Chase would be getting their own spin-off show called Growing Up Chrisley. It will follow the two siblings as they take a road trip from Nashville to Los Angeles and try to make it on their own in the big city. “I am excited to announce that Chase and I are road tripping!!!” Savannah told PEOPLE. “Los Angeles here we come! Chase is pursuing his dream of acting and I am taking the beauty world by storm! Cosmetics have been my heart and soul for years and now I’m bringing it all to life. Stay tuned to for all the craziness to come!”
Savannah seemed to be in a feud with Bella Thorne in 2017 over a boy, NBA player Chandler Parsons. She had been hanging out with Parsons and had said that it could be the start of something romantic; however, that changed when Thorne was spotted courtside at one of his games in a fishnet ensemble with Parsons’ jersey number painted on her face. Savannah seemed to slam Thorne in a couple of tweets. “Nanny always said: ‘If you lie down with dogs, you’ll get up with fleas.’ #ruffruff,” and “Girls want attention. Women want RESPECT … I choose to be a woman. Don’t be THAT girl.” She then went on to Instagram Live and seemed to take a dig at Bella’s fishnet outfit, commenting that fishnets are best worn as part of a Halloween costume. In response, Thorne liked a tweet where a fan called Savannah out for shading Thorne instead of addressing her directly.
