Earlier this week, news broke that Kristin Cavallari’s brother, Michael, had gone missing just after Thanksgiving and, unfortunately, the search for him has come to a tragic end.
Michael Cavallari has been found dead, almost two weeks after he first went missing. Kristin made a statement to People upon the news: “We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.”
There are no details about the apparent cause of death or where his body was found, as police had been searching for Michael since his disappearance on Friday, Nov. 27 when his car was found crashed and abandoned near an Interstate exit.
Following the news that he had gone missing, reports revealed that Michael had been arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s police department only four days prior to his disappearance. A neighbor had called the police on Cavallari after he continually harassed her and he was arrested after they found a loaded shotgun in the trunk of his car.
