The fine folks at Fandango are pushing early excitement and ticket sales of the next film in The Hunger Games Triloquadrilogy. Yeah. Who knows what that means, but it’s the term making the most sense considering the books and the movies, and how the fine folks at Lionsgate are going to milk us for every penny they can.
Regardless, none of that matters. It’s all about the trailer. The first teaser trailer for The Hunger Game: Mockingjay – Part I. The teaser features screen legends, both late and living, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Julianne Moore, as well as Donald Sutherland and of course, Jennifer Lawrence as Triss… er, sorry… Katniss Everdeen.
Sorry. No similarity between those two characters, and the rebellions they’ll be leading in their respective stories. And no. No similarities between the Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley. They don’t like the comparisons. Apologies, ladies.
This is quite exciting. The first two films really offered that hatred for “the man,” and now the two part Mockingjay conclusion is going to deliver what promises to be a first-class, visual beat down of the powers that be. (Everyone has read the books, right?)
So. Before we jump into the trailer, let’s take another moment of discovery and realization: With the recent release of A Most Wanted Man, we’re down to the final two acting performances offered by Philip Seymour Hoffman, and they’re in Mockinjay Parts I and II. It will truly serve as the end of an era.
Now, without further ado–if you’ve actually read this far–here is the first teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I.
