In a clip for upcoming episodes of Teen Mom OG, fan favorite star Maci McKinney revealed she and her husband suffered a miscarriage, sometime last year.

In the clip Maci and her husband Taylor are having a discussion about expanding their family, as Maci already shares son Bentley with ex Ryan Edwards, and shares Jade 2 1/2 and Maverick 1 1/2 with Taylor, and both agree that they do want more children and talked about having them naturally and adopting.

“We are not having another baby,” Maci, 26, tells Taylor, 28, at dinner. “You really want another child?”

“I love kids. I wouldn’t be mad about it,” Taylor responds as Maci instead brings up adoption which Taylor also completely agrees with and they reveal they would like to adopt a child who is from 4 to 6 instead of a baby in the next couple of years.

“If you seriously want to have another baby, then I’ll do it. But I still want to adopt too. And if that’s really what you want naturally, I want to do it now,” Maci explains, and as they begin talking about it, Maci tells her husband she is “forgetting something,” and when he looks confused she tells him to “think about it.” As it dawns on Taylor what his wife is talking about, he immediately becomes downcast and upset before excusing himself to the bathroom.

After he leaves the table, Maci explains to a producer, “I had a miscarriage. Her name’s Dandy, Dandelion.” When Taylor returns to the table he explains he didn’t want to talk about and becomes upset that Maci told everyone and she responds, “I think it’s important for people that are watching that we talk about it.” Her husband then reveals that they haven’t even told some of the people closest to them about the miscarriage, “I’d like to talk to our parents about it first.”

Teen Mom OG airs on MTV Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
