Simon Cowell Talks Fatherhood

Simon Cowell has mostly been laying low since the birth of his son, Eric, with Lauren Silverman.

Cowell was never the most liked person in Hollywood, as someone who never had anything nice to say and never kept it to himself and whose ego just seemed a bit much sometimes.

His reputation took an even bigger hit when it was revealed that he was fathering a child with Lauren Silverman, the woman who was at the time, married to his friend Andrew.

Now that baby Eric is here and Lauren and Andrew are officially divorced, Simon is back to his old ways, saying whatever comes to mind, even if it’s admitting he isn’t an involved father.

“I’m going to be honest, I’m not exactly a hands-on dad,” Cowell said in an interview with Hello! magazine.

He continued by saying, “I want to fast forward a few years so I can take him go-karting and then introduce him to women.”

While it isn’t the most conventional approach to parenting, it isn’t surprising coming from Cowell.

Recently, the father to eight-month old Eric, also called himself the hottest bachelor left, “I’m the only iconic bachelor left in the entire world-thanks for that George Clooney! I think it’s a title I’ll keep a while longer if I’m honest.”

While he has no marriage plans with Lauren, she probably didn’t consider him a bachelor anymore. But with nannies to take care of his son until he is old enough to womanize, it seems fatherhood hasn’t changed Cowell’s ways very much.
