Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel’s split just keeps getting messier as her ex-husband Jason Hoppy has now been arrested for allegedly harassing and stalking her.

According to outlets, Hoppy was arrested on Friday, January 27 for contacting Frankel “numerous times via email and FaceTime, and approached” her “making verbal threats.” Reports indicate that Hoppy showed up outside of their 6-year-old daughter’s school in Manhattan where he approached Frankel and her new boyfriend Dennis Shields, stating, “I will destroy you” and “There’s nothing you can do to stop me. You’ll be sorry. You’ve been warned… she’s pure evil.”

Aside from the verbal attacks, Frankel’s boyfriend has already had to send Hoppy a cease and desist letter because of his numerous harassing emails and calls.

Following his arrest, Hoppy is denying all of the charges with his attorney, Robert C. Gottlieb, stating, “There are no words to express how saddened Mr. Hoppy is over his ex-wife’s unjustified actions. His only concern is his daughter and intends to vigorously fight these false charges. We fully intend to do our talking in the courtroom.”

Frankel and Hoppy married in 2010 after meeting in 2008, but their marriage was short-lived. In July 2016 their divorce was eventually finalized after a messy and lengthy four-year court battle.
