Yung Berg the rapper who also stars on Love and Hip Hop Hollywood was arrested early Wednesday (Nov 5) morning in New York City for beating his girlfriend.
Berg, whose real name is Christian Ward, was with his girlfriend at the Gershwin Hotel in New York when they got into a very heated argument.
Apparently the argument became very physical when Yung Berg “grabbed her by the neck, threw her to the floor, dragged her by the hair and hit her in the face.”
Allegedly, when he grabbed her neck it was enough to cause “obstruction of breathing” and he was consequently arrested when the police arrived.
By the time the police showed up, his girlfriend already had bruises and stated she was in pain from the physical altercation.
While the idenity of the woman has not been confirmed, Berg has recently been seen dating fellow cast member Masika Tucker and according to posts to Berg’s Instagram page the pair were together last night.
There have been no updates on the situation but it is believed he is still in police custody.
