Patrick Dempsey aka Dr. Derek Shepherd wrote, “It’s a Beautiful Day to Save Lives,” alongside a close-up of his face covered in a white and black checkered mask.
The phrase is one that any Grey’s Anatomy fan would recognize since Dr. Derek Shepherd often said this before performing a surgery.
Dempsey added the hashtags #WearAMask, #COVID19 and #YourActionsSaveLives to the caption.
The actor has been actively spreading awareness and information about the ongoing global health concerns while also encouraging his fans to wear masks. He recently shared a video of Dr. Anthony Fauci speaking on the importance of everyone doing their part to slow the spread of the virus.
Dempsey added, “Please, please listen to what he is saying. Take a few minutes to watch this and really pay attention. We can make this go away! We are all in this together. We can do this people, but we have to be mindful and support each other. Wear a mask please.”
