As many tributes continue to pour in following the sudden passing of beloved actor Luke Perry, his family is speaking out.
A day after Perry’s daughter Sophie posted a message to Instagram, his son Jack also took to Instagram with an emotional post of his own.
Jack, who is a professional wrestler under the name “Jungle Boy” posted a picture of himself in the ring and another of him and his father from when he was young. He captioned the photos, “He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad. He loved and supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be.”
He continued, “I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for. I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth. I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud. I love you Dad.”
Following Perry’s death on Monday, March 4 after suffering a massive stroke on February 27, many in Hollywood including his Beverly Hills, 90210 former castmates and the cast and crew of his most recent show Riverdale have all expressed their grief and shared tributes on Instagram.
It was also announced that the Wednesday, March 6 episode would be dedicated to Perry, as would every remaining episode for the series’ run. ““Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best — helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run,” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
