Once upon a time, Kate Upton was a New York Yankees fan. No offense to Kate–surely she was gravitating toward what she thought was rich baseball tradition. And by rich baseball tradition, we mean Steinbrenner rich

Little did Kate know–back when she was wearing the iconic NY–she would someday fall for a player boasting a big D. Kate must have a thing for fastballs, because been enjoying the pitching of Justin Verlander for quite some time now. The blonde beauty showed to a Tigers game last season, and the rumors began to swirl. Back then, they were just “friends.” Now… well… they’re boyfriend and girlfriend–or something like that.

Kate recently attended a Tigers game at Yankee stadium, set to support her fella. She was offered the legends seats behind the Tigers dugout, but there was an exception to her seating arrangement. The Yankees brass told her she couldn’t be wearing any Detroit Tigers gear if she was going to sit there. Deep down, she was cheering for the success of her baby-doll’s squad, but she wasn’t allowed to show it through Detroit insignia. Seriously.

Kate admitted this really happened while sharing some co-hosting duties on Live With Kelly and Michael last Friday. If you’re thinking to yourself: “This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard!?” You would be in total agreement of everyone who isn’t a Yankees fan. We can all agree that Kate should be permitted to wear whatever she wants when she’s at Yankee Stadium, even if she chooses to wear nothing.
