The in sickness and in health part of The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco and her new husband Karl Cook’s vows are being put to the test almost immediately.
The newlyweds aren’t spending their honeymoon in the way anyone expected as the pair revealed that Cuoco is now recovering and on bed rest following a shoulder surgery, but did reveal what happened to the actress to warrant the surgery.
The 32-year-old star took to her Instagram to show a couple photos of the unexpected honeymoon, sharing a photo of herself clearly fresh out of surgery and miserably while her husband, Karl Cook, is all smiles beside her. “When your ‘honeymoon’ is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol on the road to recovery – thank you for all the love and supportknowing @mrtankcook I’m sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems thank god my hair color is on point (@clarissanya),” she captioned the photo. The actress then shared another of herself resting at home with one of her dogs.
Luckily, Cuoco’s hubby did indeed feel up to sharing some photos including a close-up of a very sad Cuoco with the caption, “Everyone has their own version of newlywed glow…well @normancook yours is memorable. #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon.”
He then shared a video of the couple’s trip home from the hospital with a groggy Cuoco in the front seat, captioning the photo, “@normancook snoring like a distressed walrus. I love you so much honey but wow! #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon.”
As previously reported, the pair were married on Saturday, June 3o in a gorgeous and unique ceremony that celebrated their mutual love of horses by being held at a horse stable near San Diego.
